Many of y'all like me probably wear make up every day. Many of y'all like me are also probably also super busy every day with life. It is hard sometimes just to get a little me time every now and then, but thankfully Posh makes that easier too! So let me ask you a question, when is the last time you cleaned your make up brushes? To be honest I don't even remember the last time! Tonight I will post a video of me using the gender bender chunk to clean my make up brushes to show you guys how easy it is!
Here are 5 reasons why you should clean your make up brushes!
1. Acne! If your brushes aren't cleaned on a regular basis, bacteria and oils can build up and you are putting that bacteria and oils right back on your skin. Which will inevitably lead to the never ending cycle of break outs.
2. Skin Irritation! When your make up brushes have caked on make up all of your brush, it can lead the make up brush bristles to dry out. When they are dry and cake-y then they will be abrasive to your skin.
3. Contamination! Are you using the same brush in different make up pallets? or in blushes or bronzers or even in different foundations?!? When your brushes aren't cleaned regularly, bacteria lives on your brushes and can be transfer to different pallets/blushes/bronzers/foundations, then the bacteria can multiply from there too!
4. Changes the color of the product you are applying. If your make up brushes need a good cleaning, it can affect the color of the product you are applying to your face. Also, when your brush needs a good cleaning, it will not leave your face looking silky smooth, it will leave your face looking spotty.
5. Destroys make up brushes. I have a nice set of younique brushes. I would hate for them to be destroyed! They were expensive. Cleaning them on a regular basis, will allow the bristles to remain soft. It will also allow for the bristles to maintain their strength longer.
Let's all remember to take a little time to make sure we are pampering even our make up brushes! :)
