It’s been 3 months for this client and has cleared wonderfully. Home care and peel treatments every 2 weeks. Only a few closed comedones around chin but overall going very well. PIH is clearing too!
Also, I have a habit of taking pics after I peel and extract so the after pics are red around the chin from me getting the last few comedones.

Just reached the 3 month mark. Still just a small bit to go but the progress is definitely worth it already. In the after pictures, she has the acne peel already on her skin and I’ve done minor extractions of some closed comedones so her skin is a bit red.

Progress CAN be achieved with dedication and commitment to home care and professional treatments.

This makes me one happy esthetician and the time and money I spend on education totally not in regret.

So thankful my books are getting full. With that being said, please plan and schedule ahead.

Preservatives guard products during consumer use from undesirable micro-organisms (usually mold) that can be introduced into an open container and become a health hazard. This is especially true for products with plant extracts. Without preservatives, these products would become overloaded with bacteria, mold, and fungus 🦠

🧪An ideal preservative system should include a broad anti-bacterial/fungal spectrum; be non-toxic, non-irritating, and free of other sensitizing effects; be compatible with other ingredients and the packaging. While only some preservatives at higher levels may cause irritation or sensitization, consumers tend to believe this is the case with all preservatives.

In reality, “preservative-free” products do not lack a preservative system. They are considered “self-preserving” based on a low pH value, surfactants, antioxidants, aroma chemicals, alcohols, and some essential oils and other ingredients to slow the growth of bacteria difficult.

✨Acne safe cleansers💋

Cleansing your skin is v important. It’s the first step in your home care routine. The type of cleanser that works best for you is based on what type of skin you have. Meaning dry or oily. Other factors that play a part in picking a cleanser is the type of skin conditions you have like acne or rosacea.

Most people can often benefit from two types of cleansers, one for a gentle/makeup removing cleanse and one for more of a ‘treatment’ cleanse. The amount of days a week you use a ‘treatment’ cleanser also depends on what your skin needs!
