Day 12 is when my phone starts buzzing.
“They’re gone.” “Did it not take?” “I think I wasted my money.”
You didn’t. You’re in the ghosting phase, and every single client goes through it.
Here’s what’s actually happening: new skin has formed over the pigment. It’s still there, it’s just hiding under a fresh layer that hasn’t gone translucent yet. Around week 4 it starts showing back up, usually 30–50% softer than the day you walked out.
That softness is the point. Day-one brows are supposed to look too dark. Healed brows are supposed to look like brows.
This is also why nobody leaves the first appointment finished. The perfecting session at 6–8 weeks is where we see how your skin held the pigment and build from there. It’s part of the process, not a fix for something that went wrong.
