Hello loves! As you can see, I have not been active on social media for a long while. I want to announce that due to my health issues, I am reducing my schedule to 6 hour shifts. Please remember that prebooking is the best way to ensure you have a future appointment. I also have an assistant to help me accommodate as many guests as possible, without sacrificing the experience. (She’s the cutest!) I appreciate your understanding and support. I love having you in my chair and I know this is the best accommodation for the time being. I will be off social media indefinitely. I would rather spend time and energy engaging face to face. I love you all! I am blessed to be your stylist and look forward to seeing you soon! 💚💚💚
PSA: as a stylist, I’m noticing a trend this winter that I want to weigh in on. I say this with love and only to help you reach your hair goals.
Find a stylist you trust. (This is crucial to the process.)
🎀If you’re growing your hair out, go get the haircut. Keep getting it cleaned up, every 6 weeks until it’s healthy. This doesn’t have to be a big chop. It can be a baby trim (1/2 inch to 2 inches depending) I tell my clients we start at every 6 weeks, then we can push it out to 8 weeks, then 12 weeks. Your hair is growing but the ends are breaking (and will continue to break) so you aren’t seeing the results. Continue regular trims to maintain your new luscious locks.
🎀Use quality products. These require less product (so they typically last longer) and keep your hair healthier. Everyone has different hair needs. Ask your stylist for recommendations.
🎀Get a satin bonnet! Wear it every night! This has helped me so much. The texture becomes smoother, your style will last longer (yay for less wash days!) and you will notice the difference. (P.S. I should add that a satin pillow case will help too.)
🎀Reduce heat. Lower the temperature on your styling tools, skip days if you can. I know with colder weather we blow dry more often. I encourage you to look into a blow dry brush so you can skip the flat iron.
🎀Clarifying shampoo strips your color. If you are using one to remove excessive build up, use it sparingly and follow with either a color deposit conditioner or a hair mask.
🎀To my ladies with tight curls, protective styles will help. Be careful not to add too much tension and take care of your scalp while wearing one of these styles.
💎If it is an option you wish to explore, extensions can provide length and fullness. This is not a low maintenance or inexpensive service. PLEASE do extensive research when looking for a stylist that offers this.

She said “can I smile?” YAASSSS GIRL!!! The way she said “I love my hair” just MELTED me. This beauty has only colored her hair one other time. She was so nervous when we started but could not stop smiling when she left. 💚

There’s a depth to bayalage that is like none other. This beauty has damaged hair from Covid and we chose to freshen things up by going darker. Dark hair gives the illusion of healthier hair, while and help heal and smooth the cuticle.

There are times when corrective color makes me sweat. This was one of them. It’s going to take a few sessions to get it where she wants it but we have a plan in place. Swipe for the before. The important thang is that she left happy, and that makes me happy!

This guest came in with copper hair. She said it always turns orange so she just runs with it. However, it doesn’t HAVE to be that way. We neutralized the copper and added some lived in blonde for big change!

It’s week 12! End of quarter!
My goal for this year is 100k in services. I’m trending to be almost at 25k for the quarter. This week is kind of a big deal for me! Keep me in mind for all of your hair needs and send me all the good vibes. I so appreciate y’all!

This weekend I learned quite a bit about new extension methods. I am still currently only providing tape ins but I want to show this before and after. This client had tape in, weft and micro links. I removed her old tapes and changed the placement. Using 3 different lengths, I was able to create a layered look without cutting the extensions themselves. We worked around her existing wefts and it created so much density!
