SKINCARE tips I wish I started in my 20s

1. Not pick my acne- try icing or a cold roller instead. When you pick it takes longer to heal.
2. Using a silk pillowcase- I had to get use to the change for sure from cotton but definitely is much easier on your skin and hair. If you sleep on your side or face we are causing wrinkles so I’ll take anything to help.
3. Get yourself a esthetician you trust if you can work it into your budget. Talk to the experts. Beware of trends, tik tok, influencers that may not be as knowledgeable.
4. Start using Retinol. Helps with acne, texture, pigmentation, cell turnover, helps make skin stronger!
5. Wear your Spf daily!
6. Not using makeup wipes in replace for cleansing your skin. It will irritate and dry you outtttt
7. Have a consistent skincare routine- If you frequently change your regimen because it’s trendy then know that your skin needs more time to see actual results.
8. Masking at home will help with your weekly exfoliating and help your skincare work better.
9. Invest in serums, professional grade serums please. My favorite products to apply are serums!
10. Double cleanse your face, double cleanse your hair, double cleanse your body. ⭐️

Let’s have a productive week. I started to take Mondays off to do things for my business such as:

-Work from home or Spa
- Send Availability Emails
- Catch up on message replies
- Write post ideas in my planner
- Organize some content on Planoly
- Deep clean spa business
- Post office runs
- Make skincare inventory orders
- Make Supplies orders
- Continuing education

And anything business related behind the scenes. I was scared of being off Mondays because I usually had a full day of clients.

You see beauty professionals are off Sundays and Mondays and loosing that income was hard to think about. I quickly saw this has been the best decision I have made for my spa business without being spread too thin. Finding your balance is hard but very important. I now have a day to dedicate to business without taking away from the weekend with family.
