Believe it or not but did you know PURPLE SHAMPOO can cause damage like this if not used properly?!
My client had explained that she tried a new purple shampoo but let it sit for a little over 10 min 😱
The typical result I see in clients that use purple shampoo too often is, increased dryness, purple, lavender or gray colored dull hair.
Purple shampoo is intended for an at home treatment to reduce brassiness in between your maintenance appointments. It is not to be used in replacement of your day-to-day shampoo or toning services!
Every product is different, but some purple shampoos are chemically strong & tend to dry out your hair causing buildup, leaving your hair looking dull or frail just like the photo you saw.
I personally prefer to have my clients mix in a small amount of purple shampoo with their daily shampoo when using. Or I’ll recommend them to use a purple conditioner since this will be more hydrating for their hair.
