August artist: Jeff Church (Jeff Church) is a local artist native to Fort Worth, Texas. He works with media of all kinds but is mostly known for his colorful abstract acrylic works. What started as doodling evolved into painting. Being born with Spina Bifida and being a paraplegic, doodling became a practice to distract his mind from daily physical pain. Art eventually became an overwhelming passion for self reflection and expression. His vibrant, gestural works explore his bodily experience, energy and freedom. Church turned his physical boundaries into sweeping, texture-rich visual narratives. His works often reflect his influences including Picasso, Basquiat , and Dali.

I cannot stress how much you need to see this in person. Jeff's work will be up all month!
