A little reminder: my massage table is still very much open. š
The Laine to Wellness has been growing. More sound baths. More workshops. More community and corporate experiences. More opportunities to create wellness outside of the treatment room.
And I love all of it.
But thereās still something about the one-on-one nature of massage. Time to actually listen to what your body has been saying.
Massage is where so much of this started for me, and itās still a very important part of what I do.
So between the sound bowls, events, workshops and all the new things you see me creatingā¦Yes, Iām still taking massage clients. š
OCTOBER IS OPEN WITH LIMITED AVAILABILITY
We spend so much time being needed, productive, and available to everyone else.
Sometimes wellness is simply having a space where nothing is required of you. No performing. No fixing. No rushing.
Just space to breathe, notice what is present, and reconnect with yourself.
That is what I want every experience I create to offer.
When was the last time you gave yourself permission to simply be?

Friday is almost here, and Autumn Equinox has turned into such a full little evening yaāll. š¤
Weāre gathering at Hotel Dryce at 7 PM and the experience will feel differentā¦
Youāll settle in with wireless headphones for a Silent Sound Bath, so the sound travels with you even while weāre outside under the evening sky.
Afterward, weāll head into the Hotel Library for dinner provided by PF Changās, and Hotel Dryce created a special Equinox Spritz mocktail just for the evening thatāll be available for purchase at the bar. š¹
And because apparently I like giving away massages š, two guests are going home with a 60-minute Hot Stone Massage from The Laine to Wellness.
If youāve been thinking about coming and are in town, come join us!

POV: You finally booked the massage after saying āI need oneā at least 12 times this month. š
Youāve been showing up for work, family, errands, appointments, responsibilitiesā¦all the things. Meanwhile, your shoulders are up to your ears and your body has been sending reminders you keep pretending not to notice.
Then finallyā¦you choose yourself. š„°
You walk in, see the table set, and realize for the next little while, nobody needs anything from you. You just get to receive.
If āI need a massageā has become part of your weekly vocabulary, go ahead and book the massage.
Remaining September appointments: 9/17, 9/24, 9/25, 9/26, 9/29, 9/30, DM me your date!

On this day 4 years ago, I officially became a licensed massage therapist! ššš this life actually called me when I was much youngerā¦I remember massaging my stepfathers crusty old feet š« š¤ and I enjoyed it! š
Many many years later the call came back and Iām so grateful I answered. Aside from fulfilling a dream career in becoming a professional dancer, this work is also satisfying me in ways words canāt express.
For those that have trusted me with your wellbeing through touch, THANK YOU!
Cheers to year 4! šššš

Letās talk about your shoulders for a second
If your shoulders feel heavy, tight, or like theyāre constantly sitting up near your ears, this is not just ānormal tensionā
Your upper traps are doing more work than theyāre supposed to
This usually comes from
- Holding stress in the body (carrying āthe weight of the worldā)
- Poor posture over time (lack of support in your life)
- Always being in a forward position (always in a rush)
- Never fully letting the shoulders drop and reset (all gas, no breaks)
What happens is the body adapts
So now your ānormalā is tension
When Iām working in this area Iām not just pressing into muscle
Iām slowing things down
Listening to the muscles (yes they speak!)
Working through fascia (more on this later, Iāll break it down for ya)
Helping the body actually let go instead of just pushing through it
Thereās a difference between temporary relief and actual release
Most people havenāt felt what real release in this area feels like yet. Because itās beyond just the physical
