While we all love a good magnifying mirror for perfect makeup application, this tool can also be dangerous in the hands of those that tend to pick at their skin.
I suggest NEVER using a magnifying mirror when walking through your skincare routine, because it can be just a little too tempting to want to pop. I promise you that if you need a magnifying mirror to see the pimple, no one else can. And, when the urge is strong to pick, just remember that going after that one pimple can:
1. make the pimple worse because you are introducing the bacteria from your hand into the zit.
2. push bacteria and pus deeper into the skin
causing redness, irritation, and more breakouts. 3. leave your skin with scabs, scars, or permanent pits
4. cause pigmentation issues on the surface of your skin that are much harder to address (and often much more expensive)
It's just not worth it, my beautiful friend! So put that magnifier away, maybe even step back from your regular mirror, and follow that skincare routine! Treat your skin with love and care and I promise, over time, you will see the results that you dream of.
