What is something that you do every year to give back to your community?

Last year I had the opportunity to run makeup for , a night for our special needs community to be the Kings and Queens that they are. They get a buddy with them all night who serves THEM all night. Dinner, dancing, dessert, red carpet, the full experience. This was the most humbling experience for me last year to see these ladies faces light up after getting a little gloss and eye shadow and just getting to connect with them.

I am SO EXCITED to announce that I am getting to head up the makeup again at North Fort Worth for on February 7th. This is a NATION WIDE event that happens at the same time, same day all around the world. If any part of this interests you at all get online and find your local Night To Shine event and GET INVOLVED!! Most are still looking for buddies and many more volunteers and I suggest this to any and everyone (young kids are even encouraged to serve!). This night is LIFE CHANGING!

Don’t you just wish there was a setting spray for life sometimes? Like “I like you, you’re cute, I’ll just spray and keep you right here!” No? Just me? Hahaha okay 😂🤷🏼‍♀️

2019 brought tons of confidence to me and learning that I don’t always have to please those around me. That it’s okay to do what I want and what is best for my family. In 2020 it’s my goal to be able to spread that to those around me. My clients, my friends, my family, to let them know it’s okay to say no to things you don’t want to do sometimes. That it’s okay to take care of yourself and your family first. That it’s actually SO IMPORTANT for your mental health to do this. Take care of you!! There’s a reason on airplanes they tell you if something was to happen and the masks drop down, put yours on first then help those around you. You can’t help others without helping yourself first. I’m still in progress with this but bet I’m not stopping anytime soon! ❤️
