DayMoon Massage Therapy is a *Women's-Only* practice by Jerica Tamarin Meditz, LMT, CEMT
My work integrates several modalities, to provide a personalized treatment for your needs. :) I was fortunate enough to be able to do my internship at the Pyramid Holistic Wellness Center, and concentrated on how to run a successful wellness center. My experience there gave me the opportunity and inspiration

I'm always saying it, but here's some proof... Contact with the earth on the soles of your feet and the palms of your hand stimulate all the systems of your body and is an essential part of being a healthy human being in this world!! Get those feet on the ground! (*Before it gets too cold!) 🌎👣💫

When you take care of your body, you can enjoy it for a lifetime. When people question my focus on health and wellness, I remind them that I plan on living a very long time, and I want to be as capable, strong, comfortable, and independently functional in my body as I possibly can be, for as much of my life as possible. I have a lot of living to do, and so do you! So exercise, stretch, eat clean, drink water, get massage therapy, and rest. Always listen to your body and give it what it needs. Happy bodies make happy people!
🤸‍Be well!

How a Lack of Touch is Destroying Men 08/03/2017

This is SO important... It's true to the extent that many men are too worried about touch to get massage therapy even when they're injured. Humans REQUIRE touch to thrive. Think of this... There was a study done with infants; half received regular massage, half didn't. The half who experienced touch therapy grew at Twice the rate. Touch is healing, it can break addiction, reverse body image issues like anorexia, and end PTSD symptoms (since that is stored physically, not mentally.) Please consider what this article has to say.. Dare to heal yourself and those around you by being open to platonic touch, for the benefit of all of those around you, and humanity at large.
Sincerely,
DayMoon Massage Therapy

The vagus nerve, emotions and the difficulty with mindfulness practices 05/07/2016

This is a very interesting, short read. *As someone who has personally experienced the impact of regular massage therapy on Drastically decreasing my own somewhat severe PTSD (it's now nearly gone), I cannot agree more with the connections made in this article. I see it with my clients all the time. Trauma is a physical condition and experience, and not a rationally or emotionally held symptom of memory. Tissues hold trauma, it is an injury. It is absolutely vital to release these tensions and physically recover from these actual wounds in order to truly get over trauma, and to be wholly functional and at peace.

Body Sense - WINTER | 2015 02/15/2016

This is a great little story. It saddens me when I hear that someone's never had a massage before (or has only had bad ones), and I just love getting the opportunity to give someone their first positive experience. When their fear disappears and they start wondering why they've been missing out so long, it makes my day, every time. :)

Body Sense - WINTER | 2015 Crowder was really nervous, but when she walked into the session room, she was greeted by soft lighting, gentle music, and a warm massage table. "[Phipps] was very kind, and told me to undress as far as I wanted to undress. Then, she left, and I was so relieved. I was afraid she was going to watch m…

It's Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) season.. Shorter days and colder temperatures leave many Americans feeling depressed and lethargic. Massage is a powerful, drug-free way to combat SAD.
