It’s been a while since I’ve done an introduction — so allow me to say hi!!

I’m Emily, a 43 year old mother of 2 who started this business almost five years ago when I wanted to make a little extra money to take my family on adventure. Back then, it was a way to make a little money in the meantime; now it is so much more.

When I started, I sold lipstick. (I didn’t have a clue what I was doing, but I worked hard and loved every second of it.)

Now? This platform has allowed me to encourage, inspire, and give back in ways I never dreamed possible.

Instagram Stories is where you’ll find me most often- probably in a messy house, trying to keep up with my kids in organized chaos, throwing on a little makeup and making short cuts to dinner, drinking coffee, throwing out a few basic grammar lessons that all adults should know 😂, or sharing what life actually looks like for a business-owning, busy mama. I’ll likely be in my t-shirt and jeans, but if you promise not to judge, neither will I. 💙

I’m not perfect, and I don’t claim to be. When I smile, my eyes reveal wrinkles that I’m 100% okay with because I’m a real person - and in my 40s. When I go out in public? I probably won’t have makeup on my face. I’m flawed and still worthy; I’m a daughter of the King, and an loyal best friend. I’m great at keeping secrets because I take pride in being trustworthy.

Last week, My daughter and I were able to drop off 30 bags to the Salvation Army’s command center in Nashville that teen girls from the forgotten angels list will be able to open on Christmas morning. Thanks to many of you and the Keep Calm & Love Your Lips community, 29 of these bags were sponsored and contained luxury beauty items from , candy, and accessories.

I’m grateful to have resources and reach through my small business to be able to bless others, and from the bottom of my heart, I want to thank those of you who donated toward this cause, whether it was $5 or $50…every bit of it (and then some from our family) was poured into these bags. We prayed a blessing over the teens who would receive them, and I am grateful for your partnership in also helping my own girl remember the true meaning of Christmas. ❤️

⬅️ The picture on the left is baby Emily. 38 years old. Little to no makeup skills and didn’t know a soul, headed to her first in person local SeneGence training. If I’m being completely honest, I thought it was something that only stay-at-home moms did for a hobby. I thought I was smarter than all those women who had been drinking the kool-aid of MLMs and sat around cold calling people all day because they were really part of a secret pyramid scheme. I didn’t think this would ever be my actual career. I was too smart, right? I wasn’t going to stoop to this, right? I just wanted some fun vacation money and to pay for my own stuff. 😬🫣

Fast forward to (almost) 43 years old. Like my makeup skills, the picture on the right ➡️ paints an evolved picture. There IS money to be made, a career to be had, and relationships- real relationships- to be created. My mindset has evolved, and my perspective has changed. These women I work with are smart, educated, driven, and ethical. They motivate me to not only be better professional, but also a better server to my family and my community.

Are there still those people in the industry that are icky and do all the things we hate to be around? Yes.
But really, aren’t icky people in every industry? I’ve worked in three before now, so I know it’s a fact.

➡️Moral of the story: if you have a slight desire to try something new, then try it. You’ll either be confirmed in your beliefs or you’re going to have the socks knocked off of you. Also, remember YOU control your actions. You don’t have to be Icky. You don’t have to follow what others do if it makes you feel uncomfortable or wrong. Change. The. Game.

I’m so glad I did.
