You may have heard it said that when applying moisturizers you should use upward strokes to lessen fine lines and keep your face from sagging and appearing "droopy," but the OPPOSITE is true with foundation and powder. Most of us (yes, even you!) have a small amount of hair on the face which grow from the pores in a downward fashion. Applying makeup with upward strokes can create misdirection of the hair, making it much more noticeable and leaving your face looking like a fuzzy peach!

TIP OF THE DAY!
With the heat and humidity it's sometimes hard to keep your eyeliner where you put it, and waterproof liners can be difficult to remove! So keep that eyeliner in line by adding a small amount of powder below the the liner and blend to perfection. Not only will it provide a "barrier" to keep the liner looking fresh, the additional pigment will add highlight and definition to your eyes!

TIP OF THE DAY!
Is your hair looking healthy but your lashes looking frumpy? Kick in the curl by turning up the heat! Try heating up your lash curler for 3-5 seconds with your hair dryer to give long-lasting, all-day definition to those lovely lashes of yours!

Not getting the dramatic color you're craving from the shadow in the pallet? Drop the base! Adding a base coat of white before using your favorite shade will keep your lids from appearing drab--making your eyes totally fab!

Going for a more natural look? Use "tightlining" (the technique of adding eyeliner between the lashes) to tone down the drama without turning down the definition!

No matter what product you're using--clumps are a bitch! But when it comes to mascara? There's a Visine for that! Though mascara should be replaced every 3-4 months, you can get a longer wear out of your favorite shade by adding a couple drops of Visine to the tube. The eyedrops will soften your mascara making it apply with stunning brilliance and not a clump in sight!

Sometimes it's too early and you've had too much coffee to keep a steady hand when adding those fierce wings with your favorite liner! So repurpose some scotch tape to fix your fancy! Applying it lightly to the skin prevents foundation disruption and will help your lines look as on fleek as YOU are!

We can't ALL be Van Gogh--especially in the morning! Maximize your mascara without having to fix the fallout by using a plastic spoon as a face shield! It won't disturb your foundation and will allow you to get in ALL the nooks and crannies on the lower lashes!
