Allow me to reintroduce myself 🖤
Hi, I’m Nikki Tran.
I’ve been a hairstylist & colorist for 15 years (omg how?) and if there is one thing I’ve learned, it’s this - the only constant is change. The ability to learn and unlearn; to allow yourself the freedom to reinvent yourself as many times as you need to.
Hair is such a significant component in self-identity. How we present ourselves to the world and how we want the world to perceive us. That’s why I’m here. To help others along their own journey of reinventing themselves in this way.

Tomorrow, January 30th, 2026, I will remain open for business. I stand firmly against the injustices perpetuated by the federal government’s use of ICE and the anti-humanity regime that threatens our community’s safety and dignity.
To stand in solidarity with all lives that have been affected and lost, all profits from appointments tomorrow will be donated to the , an organization dedicated to protecting civil rights and fighting for justice for all humans.
If you support this regime and its harmful practices, I kindly ask that you do not book with me. My salon is a space of solidarity and compassion for all humans.
F**K ICE.
With love and solidarity,
Nikki

It has been nearly two weeks post-election. A lot of you have come into my studio in tears, in shock, in disbelief, heartbroken and feeling completely defeated. As an empath, I feel that so viscerally with you all and I will always hold a safe space for anyone who needs it — whether you are a client of mine or not, a fellow stylist/industry pro, or just you know…a human being. Just know that hate and judgement have no home here and you are always welcome. ✌🏼
It is imperative now, more than ever that we hold onto hope in humanity. To lead with love, and to take care of ourselves, our mental/emotional well-being and our community. I know it’s scary, I know the future holds so many unknowns. Take a moment, take a deep breath, remember that there is still so much love and light in the world and so many things to be grateful for. Deep breaths, babe. You’re going to be okay. ♥️

Translation: “Happy Lunar New Year! Wishing everyone a happy, healthy and prosperous year.”
In Vietnamese culture, the dragon is one of the 12 animals in the zodiac cycle, and each animal represents a year in the lunar calendar. The dragon is considered a powerful and auspicious symbol, and its presence during the lunar new year is believed to bring good luck, prosperity, and success.
🐲🐉The dragon is associated with strength, wisdom, and nobility. It is seen as a symbol of power and authority, and it represents the Emperor in Vietnamese culture. The dragon is also believed to have control over water, which is essential for agriculture and life in Vietnam.
During the lunar new year celebrations, dragon dances and performances are common. These colorful and dynamic dragon dances are believed to ward off evil spirits and bring good fortune for the year ahead. The dragon’s vibrant and energetic movements are also thought to bring positive energy and excitement to the festivities.
Overall, the dragon zodiac holds great significance in Vietnamese culture during the lunar new year. It symbolizes strength, prosperity, and good luck, and its presence is believed to bring blessings and positive energy for the year ahead.
FUN FACT: I was born in the year of the Dragon. 🐲 ‘88 bby!

Stylist pro-tip: if your phone camera is picking up too much light exposure and you’re having issues bringing that dimension through in its truest form, particularly on darker hair that naturally reflects more light — tap that screen and drag that little sun setting down!
That should bring down your exposure and give you a much better depth-to-light ratio. (Second photo unadjusted exposure, first & third photo adjusted exposure)
