🚸 School Bus Safety in Spotsylvania County 🚸

When driving on two-lane roads, all vehicles must stop in both directions when a school bus is picking up or dropping off children, regardless of the lane they’re in.

On multi-lane roads that are paved across, including those with turn lanes or center lanes, all traffic in both directions must come to a complete stop when a school bus stops.

For divided highways, if there’s a physical barrier or unpaved median separating the lanes, only the vehicles traveling behind the school bus must stop, while vehicles on the opposite side of the divider may continue driving with caution. Remember, it’s not just the law—it’s about protecting our children’s safety. Stay alert, obey the rules, and always stop for school buses! 🛑🚍
