Actually dying over my new set. Something so different for me - I’m usually a short almond girlie with lots of designs but this is giving sassy & classy & I’m obsessed 🖤

Let’s talk prep for long lasting press-ons! ✨

I had my last set on for over 2 weeks and here’s how you can do it too -

1. Start with clean hands

2. Gently push back cuticles with provided cuticle stick

3. I choose to trim my cuticles at this step - but BE CAREFUL - don’t cut any living tissue
*Something I found helpful before I felt comfortable trimming my own cuticles is the Sally Hansen “Instant Cuticle Remover” - it is very affordable and you can safely remove your cuticles using this.*

4. Once cuticles are in good shape, lightly buff the nail with the provided file. You want to create a rough surface for the nails to adhere to. A good rule of thumb is to buff away the shine from your nails.

5. Take the provided alcohol wipe and wipe each nail to dehydrate and remove any debris from the nails.
*Optional - invest in a dehydrator if you plan to use press-ons frequently. I use the Morovan brand from Amazon, it runs about $6 but will help remove excess oils and moisture from the nail plate, which will create a clean & dry surface for the nails to adhere to - if you buy anything from this post - buy this!*

6. You’re ready to apply!
*The nail tips I use are pre-etched so you don’t have to do anything to the nails themselves. You can apply a small dot of glue to the press-on and a thin layer of glue to your entire nail plate, and you’re ready to rock & roll!*

I hope you all find this post informative & helpful. Prior to making my own press-ons, I loved getting the kits from Walmart or Target and I would find they wouldn’t last as long as I would like. I think I’ve narrowed it down to a science to get the press-ons to last over 2 weeks!! 🖤
