Grad school has kept me BUSY but with the fall semester ending, I finally have time to squeeze in some appointments! And in the interest of full transparency, I recently found out that my student loans unfortunately won’t cover my spring courses in their entirety. So come get your sparkle on for the holidays and help out your friendly neighborhood college kid! 😂✨

I’ll have my vendor event special going on AND my new $10 clip-ins will be available. Stock on these is limited as I tie them all by hand so they will be first come, first served. A portion of the proceeds will go to The Trevor Project. And good news, this year I will be more prepared and NOT doing the following:

- Tying my sleeves up with yarn
- Wearing a heavy black t-shirt and jean shorts
- Passing out

We've created a quick list on tips for attendance on June 28th!

For the March at Riverfront Park (10:00am-11:00am):
1. Arrive Early - we are meeting at 9:45AM - parking will be hard.
2. Wear comfy shoes to walk in - distance is 1 mile from Riverfront Park (starting at approx 10:30) and back for the festival.
3. Show your Pride! Bring a handmade poster, banner, flag, or whatever you'd like to show your FXBG PRIDE!
4. Be respectful to all in attendance. LGBTQIA+ Pride looks like many things to our community. We ask all of our attendees are treated with upmost respect and love.
5. Check the weather - wear appropriate lightweight clothing
6. Our four-legged friends can't tell us when its too hot. Please watch out for your pups. If the weather is too hot please do not bring your furry friend.

For FXBG PRIDE Fest at Riverfront Park (11:00am-4:00pm):
1. FXBG Pride is a free event, but if you plan on purchasing items from vendors or tipping your performers, please bring card and cash options. Performance tipping is currently cash only.
2. Wear sun protection (ex. sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, sun protective clothing). The high of the week is 96 degrees F. Dress with light, comfortable, appropriate clothes for the weather forecast.
3. Stay Hydrated! Bring Water, electrolytes, or other non-alcoholic beverages of your choosing to stay hydrated. We also have a free hydration station by the brick bathrooms (bring your bottle)
4. Know your limits. Try to grab some shade / take a break from the heat when needed.
5. Be respectful to all in attendance. LGBTQIA+ Pride looks like many things to our community. We ask all of our attendees are treated with upmost respect and love.
6. Ignore Protestors - report any suspicious activity to a volunteer or our security

Just checking in and gearing up for another busy season of fairy hair sparkles! The fall and winter months tend to be a little slower and that’s okay! As some of you know, I recently started grad school and things are beginning to lighten up on that end as well (for now!) I’m wondering - what would you like to see this upcoming season??! More vendor events? A rewards club? A specific color fairy hair? I’m also playing with the idea of adding an additional fairy to my business for individual freelance and especially for larger events so I don’t have to turn people down because of the wait (happened at Fredericksburg PRIDE last year!)
