I spend so much of my life thinking about work, talking about work, planning what’s next for work… and I wouldn’t have it any other way. But damn, I’ve got a pretty good life outside of it too.

We customized her shade, let it heal soft, then made a few finishing touches at her second session.

Lash line enhancement might be one of the most underrated forms of cosmetic tattooing.

Instead of creating an obvious eyeliner look, pigment is placed right within the lash line to fill those tiny gaps between your lashes creating the illusion of a darker, fuller lash line and giving your eyes that little bit of definition they were missing.

Five years. And definitely not a straight line.

Looking back, it’s easy to connect the dots and make everything sound like it happened exactly the way it was supposed to.

It didn’t. 😂

There were some really incredible highs in these five years, but there were also plenty of “what the hell am I doing?” moments. Times I questioned whether I had made the wrong decision. Times I stepped away. Started over. Changed direction. Worked in places that weren’t right for me. And probably more than once wondered if this career was ever going to look the way I pictured it when I took that first class.

I’m thankful for all of it now— even the parts I wouldn’t necessarily want to do over again. Because somewhere in all of that figuring-it-out, I became a much better artist, a better business owner, and a lot clearer about the kind of career I actually wanted to build.

Five years later, I’m still learning. Still investing in my education. Still finding things I want to get better at. And somehow, there are opportunities in front of me now that the girl who walked into that first class in 2021 wouldn’t have even thought to dream about.

Mostly, I’m just really grateful I kept going.

To every client who has trusted me with their face, every artist who has taught me something, every person who has sent someone my way, shared my work, encouraged me, or watched some version of this journey unfold, thank you. 🤍 Truly.

Five years in. I have a feeling the next five are going to be pretty damn good.
