Fresh feverfew + mugwort hanging in the studio today! Two wild-hearted herbs with very different personalities that somehow harmonize like old friends.Feverfew brings that bright, sunlit clarity, crisp, focused, a little sharp around the edges. Mugwort moves in the opposite direction: dreamy, lunar, intuitive, softening the boundaries and opening the inner senses.Together they create this beautiful “clear-but-not-harsh” energy: grounded clarity, softened by intuition. I’ll be offering them as a tea option in the studio soon, blended with a touch of marshmallow root to round out the bitterness and bring in a gentle, soothing sweetness. Forest, field, and a little bit of magic in every cup.
Herb energetics & synergy
• Feverfew : bright, solar, sharp, clearing.
Moves upward, disperses tension, cuts through fogginess. Has that “sunbeam through the clouds” personality.
• Mugwort : lunar, silvery, intuitive, boundary-softening.
Opens the inner landscape, deepens breath, invites dreaminess and subtle perception.
• Their synergy :
When paired, they balance each other beautifully:
Feverfew clears the mind without overstimulating.
• Mugwort softens the edges so the clarity feels embodied, not sharp.
• Together they create a “clear + intuitive” state that’s perfect for massage, sound healing, or grounding before/after sessions.
• Marshmallow root : cooling, moistening, soothing.
It’s the perfect third ally because it:• Softens bitterness
• Adds body and sweetness
• Grounds the blend
• Makes the tea more accessible for clients who aren’t used to bitter herbs

New Summer Candles in the Studio on June 1st!
The studio smells like early summer right now, bright gardens, warm rain, and everything waking up at once.
Two new candles are now available for anyone coming in for massage or sound healing sessions:
🍐 Sweet Basil + Asian Pear
Crisp orchard pear with a green herbal lift. Fresh, juicy, and bright , like walking barefoot through the garden at golden hour.
🌧️ Vetiver Jasmine Petrichor (with Cedar & Lemongrass infused wooden wick)
Earthy, humid, and storm‑kissed. Wet soil, jasmine blooming in the heat, vetiver roots, and a hint of cedarwood. A summer storm rolling through the garden.
You’re welcome to pick one up before or after your session or let it burn while you drop into your sound healing journey. Small‑batch, hand‑poured, and crafted with the same intention I bring to every session in this space.

This morning’s harvest at Feral Roots Apothecary 🌿
After three days of blessed rain, the garden exploded! So, today I gathered comfrey, plantain, and feverfew straight from the beds. These will be dried and infused into herbal oils that become the salves, butters, and balms for our winter apothecary offerings and my seasonal massage menu. Comfrey + Plantain Salve is one of the oldest healing blends in herbal tradition:
• Plantain draws out heat, irritation, and inflammation
• Comfrey supports deep tissue repair and recoveryTogether, they make a powerful topical for:
• sore muscles
• bruises
• bug bites
• cracked skin
• spot‑treatments during massage.
These herbs grow wild and abundant here and I’m harvesting them now so they can rest, infuse, and transform into the remedies I’ll offer this winter. Nature gives in seasons. I’m gathering while the garden is generous. 🌿✨

No sound healing this Saturday, instead I have opened up morning slots for Massage and Individual Sound Healing Sessions on the booking app! Start your morning in downtown with a massage,
Some sound healing, maybe a cup of coffee and swing by the farmers market before or after- I do have a small refrigerator to store your market goodies during your service!
Also, the next paining is mostly finished and hanging on the botanical art wall in the studio now!

Today I began a new double infused batch of Solar Sanctum Oil, a deep, resin‑gold infusion crafted from calendula I grew hydroponically and harvested through the winter. In this first round, the flowers are joined by Palo Santo powder, frankincense tears, and myrrh resin, beginning a slow alchemy in the sun. Once this infusion is complete, I’ll pour it over white copal and dried rose petals for a second solar cycle, creating a bright, heart‑opening finish to the ancient resin base. This oil will become the foundation of my massage oils, butters, and healing balms, small‑batch, seasonal, and crafted with devotion here at Feral Roots Conservatory & Apothecary. Sun medicine. Resin medicine. Plant medicine. Made with intention from seed to jar.
The finished small batch oil will be ready in August. It will be available in the studio during services and also made into a small production of our healing balm to stock the online apothecary for fall and winter.

Mugwort taking shape on the canvas today, the first lines of a plant that never grows quietly. Tomorrow I’ll bring in the smoke, the shimmer, and the dream‑field it carries. Beginning the mugwort piece for my botanical wall… I always love this stage, when the plant is still half‑spirit, half‑sketch, deciding how it wants to appear
