This is why we still mask during services at the salon. 😷😁
An investigation in Missouri found no clients were known to be infected with COVID-19 after 139 clients were exposed to two hair stylists with the disease. The hair stylists and clients wore face coverings, which likely helped prevent spread of COVID-19. Wear a cloth face covering consistently and correctly in public and around people not living in your household to prevent spread of COVID-19. https://bit.ly/MMWR71420.

THANKFUL for all my clients who are being troopers through my required masking policy. 😷 Trust me when I say to you I *never* imagined 2020 would have me talking your face off through my mask.😬 But THIS 👇is why we're still doing it. 😁
A few weeks ago Springfield, MO made national news when two hairdressers tested positive for COVID-19 and potentially exposed a couple hundred people. But there have been no connected cases since the exposure. A potential reason for no cases: everyone was required to wear masks.
“Which mask worked the hairdresser’s or the client’s? I think the answer is yes. They both worked,” said Robin Trotman, medical director of Infection Prevention Services at CoxHealth in Springfield. “The system worked. Universal masking worked. It really doesn’t matter which one.”
While the state has opened up, wearing a mask can reduce the risk of transmission, especially when combined with physical distancing when possible.

First & foremost, for my client/friends, THANK YOU for being so compliant & understanding with our correspondence. As a stylist/person, I don't like to disappoint people & I know extended appointment times & limits on days isn't ideal. If we have to part ways for a bit or for always due to our schedules not matching up any longer, I UNDERSTAND & we'll still see each other out & about & smile & be friends whether I'm your hair girl or not. :)
Secondly, PLEASE DO NOT make an appointment if you've traveled in the last 14 days or if you've cared for someone who's been ill. If you are exhibiting any signs of sickness (especially fever or cough), DO NOT COME TO THE SALON. I will have to turn you away after having risked exposure for myself & others. We will reschedule when you are well. Pinky promise.
And lastly, I appreciate your patience with the policy changes we have instituted. Because I share a space with The Rite Cut gals, Amy & Amy, we all considered your safety as well as the safety of ourselves & our families when creating every single one of them. I will answer any of your questions as to *why* we are performing each new step during your appointment time if you are curious, but know that just as you trust me to take all the right steps to give you great hair, you can trust that I place your health in higher regard.
{Policy changes for the salon:}
*Masks are required for both client & stylist. I will work with you if you are experiencing anxiety with this & will walk you thru what can best work for us both. Covering your mouth & nose is a necessary precaution for me to operate safely. 😷
*Text when you arrive & wait to be waved in.
*Only bring in necessities; I'll have an assigned spot for safety.
*Grab a wipe to clean your phone & then wash your hands at our handwashing station.
*Coffee Bar isn't operational, but we will still have bottled water available if needed.
We are not open for walk-ins. The door will be locked & unlocked only for clients to arrive & leave. You can enter ONLY if you have an appointment & because of this we have also closed our waiting area. All soft surfaces & magazines have also been removed so that we can disinfect all surfaces. Each appointment time is followed by a disinfecting regimen (using Barbicide: https://barbicide.com/covid-19/) & nothing is used on any client without FIRST being sanitized. Capes are single use & are laundered at the end of every day.
We also have diffuser blends going for germ fighting properties & also because they just make our days a lil better even if we are smelling them through our masks! :) *If you have any allergies to citrus, please let me know prior to your appt time.
I can still accept payment through the Square app or Schedulicity Pay (you can log onto the online scheduling app & store your card info securely), but I am also accepting:
*Venmo:
*PayPal: paypal.me/paycybil
*Cash App: $cybilwithac
This is in an attempt to stay as *contactless* as possible. Cash is still good, but change will be limited.
AND IF YOU ACTUALLY READ THIS FAR... You must be looking for *How To Make An Appt* info. 😉 Current clients ONLY: FB message me whether you prefer Wednesday or Friday & mornings or afternoons & I will begin the search for a spot.
(I will have occasional Monday spots & maybe a Saturday or two also...so let me know if Wed/Fri won't work. I'll see if anything else is available before referring you to someone else if it's a hair 911. 😊)
