Are you taking appointments?
Can't tell you much I love this new haircut. It's sexy, edgy, sophisticated and easy! Thank you Mark!! Love you to the moon.
I want to give a shout out to the ladies at work. I just want to tell you how grateful I am to have you all at Stylemakers. Not only are you all terrific stylists, but you make the shop so very welcoming and professional. It is always so clean and neat from the second I walk into the door. You all make it a better place for each other and our clients. Thank you Marty, Mary, and Sarah!

Barber shop/hair salon

[06/15/20]   To all my clients, if you have not heard from me yet please call or text 780-2895, leave your name, and services needed and I will get back with you ASAP.

It's almost time to open!!! June 15, 2020 is the date!

To our dedicated clients, we are so ready to see you again!
There will be some changes made as required by the governor.

1. Masks must be worn.
2. Sanitize or wash your hands when entering the building.
3. Clients mus wait in their vehicle until we are ready for them.
4. Each client must fill out a form/questionnaire with date, time, name, address, and a few health questions pertaining to the Covid-19 exposure.
5. Each client must sign the questionnaire and release form to get their hair done.
6. Respect distancing and do not congregate, hug, or any physical contact.

Although this may sound like a lot, we will get through this and it will seem normal before we know it.
We ask for your patience as we will be overwhelmed for a bit because we are trying to fit everyone in who had to be cancelled when we were required to close.
We also have to allow plenty of time between clients to disinfect before and after each client. That means that we will have to schedule fewer people during each work day.

To get back on track, we will each be taking our own appointments. If you call the salon, we will take your name and number, and have your stylist contact you.

***If you happen to call the salon and no one answers the phone, please be patient and realize that this will be an extremely busy time for us and we may not be able to answer the phone continually.

We are going to try our best and ask that you be patient and understanding of the rules that we must follow.

Let's make the best of this and enjoy each other's company like we did in the past.

Thank you for your dedication to Stylemakers and it's stylists!

Do we have any friends, or friends of friends, that do electrical work?

We are looking to put a couple of lights on our building to light up the parking lot at Stylemakers.

There's an electric eye on the building that we were hoping could be the source to connect to.

[05/09/20]   I know your roots are bad, I know your hair will be too long and you won't feel like yourself. I would love to go back to work but I can't, our industry can't. When you ask us what kind of color you will need and buy that store box color just remember your putting money into the big companies pocket while we small ones are suffering. There is no way to make income from our industry right now since we are hands on. When we can come back, please remember us and please don't blame us if we need to fix your hair and it will cost more.
Not only do we miss our income but we miss you. Our chats, laughter, tears, we share so much more than just a haircut. We are standing here united to stay safe but inside we are worried and stressed about our work being completely torn from us. We sit patiently waiting, like you, for answers or reassurance of some sort. With uncertain clarity, we hope and pray that you will be back to us soon and our industry comes back stronger than ever! 🙏
Please share and support your stylist. Help remember our hairstylist community as we stand not behind our chair right now, but united being safe through this...

From all of the stylists everywhere ....

Just doing a wellness check on our client friends.

We hope that you all are staying safe and healthy.
We have no word yet on when we will be returning, but just know that we miss you and are looking forward to seeing you all once again as soon as it's safe for all of us.

Hang in there, it will get better!

A sad day for those of us in the industry.

* An ICON of our industry has passed, may he rest in peace..
Repost @martinparsonsedu ---
It is with great sadness that I must announce the passing of my brother, Martin Parsons. He passed peacefully in Toronto on October 21, 2019 with his family and friends by his side. From the age of 11 Martin knew that he wanted to be was a hairdresser. Our aunt took him to his first hair show in Detroit to see the Zegarelli Brothers with Beaute Craft and from that moment on he realized he wanted to be on stage. As soon as he could he enrolled with Bruno’s Schools in London Ontario and his journey began. Always looking the part in his impeccable tailored suits as he walked out on stage, his audiences always knew they were in for a great experience. His hands had the grace and elegance of a champion figure skater, magically creating stunning styles in just minutes. And
then there were his gowns! His creativity knew no bounds. With professionalism and focus he would deliver his consistent message, “We are in the greatest industry and get to create beauty everyday of our lives. Who else can touch so many people in our communities? Stand up and be proud to be a hairdresser!”. In classes, Martin was proudest when sharing his Cutting & Design Techniques and Updo Concepts with so many and was thrilled when the “a ha” moments from those that
attended. His patience and encouragement to young & old, inspired multiple generations of stylists to be better at their craft, everyday. Whether a picture, a chat, answer to a question or just a hug, he was always real and genuine to everyone he met. Martin crossed paths with many people that had an impact on his life and career and two stand out. Evelyn Hathaway from Bruno’s saw and nurtured his talents and gave him his first tastes of the stage and Paula Kent Meehan, founder of Redken who gave him true friendship and the opportunities of a lifetime. To all the others, thank you for believing in Martin. It meant the world to him and he never forgot who you are.His hope is that we all take a few minutes each day to share ideas and help our fellow stylists to make our industry a little better every day. That would make Martin smile.
