👋🏼 Still here. Still behind the chair. Still creating.

I know my feed has been filled with all the things that come with walking through a hard season.

😌🫶🏼But let’s not forget where this all started.

The brows.
It’s always been about the brows.

🪞The artistry, the confidence, the tiny details that can change how someone feels when they look in the mirror.

This chapter may be louder right now, but it’s not the whole story.

🛶 Before I knew I had cancer, I planned my annual trip to Door County.

It’s my little slice of ✌🏽

The water, the kayaking, the quiet mornings, the small businesses, the feeling of being tucked away in God’s country for a few days.

😮‍💨 It’s one of the few places where I truly exhale.

After my diagnosis, I honestly thought this trip was gone too.

✨A gift✨I was able to plan my treatments around the days I’d feel most like myself…

I can’t fully explain how emotional that feels.

Because when life changes this suddenly, you start grieving things before they’re even gone + for a while, I thought cancer was going to take this piece of me too.

But it didn’t.

🤲🏾It feels like getting a tiny piece of my life back. A reminder that even in the middle of hard things, there can still be joy, beauty, peace, + things to look forward to.

So here’s to fresh air, healing, sunsets on the peninsula, small moments that end up meaning everything, + holding tightly to the things that still make you feel alive.

Door County… I’m so grateful I get to see you again soon 🌅

🫶🏼As we move through different seasons of life, there are so many things that can affect our hair.

Stress.
Hormones.
Inflammation.
Illness.

😔Over the last few days, I’ve been sending messages to hundreds of clients to reschedule appointments.

+ honestly… it feels like I’m tearing down everything I’ve worked so hard to build.

For many years, my focus has always been making sure my clients are taken care of …getting everyone booked, keeping schedules on track, making sure people can get in when they need to. That’s just who I am.

So having to suddenly condense my schedule + step back because of cancer feels like it goes against everything in me.

😮‍💨There’s a fear that comes with it too.
What if people move on?
What if it becomes too hard to get back in?
What if this changes everything I’ve built?

I know logically that people won’t forget me overnight. I know this season is temporary. But emotionally, it’s still incredibly overwhelming because this business is not “just a job” to me. It’s something I’ve poured my heart, my energy, + years of my life into.

🫶🏼To every client who has shown patience, kindness, flexibility, + support through this transition, thank you. More than you know.

+ while my schedule is limited right now, I’m also incredibly grateful to have such talented providers inside Ashley Jackson Beauty + Salon helping bridge the gap + continue taking care of all of you in the meantime.

I may have to slow down for a little while… but this isn’t the end of what I’ve built. 🤍
