Getting waxed while on your period is totally doable, but it does require a bit of extra preparation for comfort. Here’s how to prepare:

• Tip: Insert a fresh one right before your appointment. If you’ve never used one before, try it out a day or two before.

✅ 2. Let Your Waxer Know in Advance
• Why: Some salons prefer a heads-up
• Tip: Call or message ahead — they’ll appreciate your transparency.

✅ 3. Take Pain Relievers Beforehand
• Why: Skin is more sensitive during your period due to hormonal changes.
• Tip: An over-the-counter pain reliever (like ibuprofen) taken 30–45 minutes before can reduce discomfort.

• Why: It’s a matter of personal care and respect for your waxer.
• Tip: Shower beforehand

Queens!!!! You shouldn’t be taking steaming hot showers!!!! And definitely not for like 30 mins!!! You are only going to dehydrate and hurt your skin and also cause ingrown hairs (because of the dehydration of the skin)
LUKEWARM SHOWERS FOR ONLY 10 mins!!! I know it’s cold but there’s no need/ benefit to do that.
