Strength Cosmetics mission is to promote strength and beauty, inside and out, by giving back to communities in need a little reminding that they are both.
Strength Cosmetics was founded by Nishea (Shea) Martinez as an outlet to help sexual abuse survivors, like herself. Shea found three things that she was passionate about 1) Powerlifting, 2) Makeup, and 3) Helping survivors. Strength Cosmetics is her way of tying all three together. All of our colors are named after strong inspiration women (some powerlifters, some not) that Shea has found to push
her, and others, to be their best self. Shea's love for makeup started when she was young, doing makeup for ice skating competitions and theater. Then she started to love wedding makeup, she started finding makeup tips and tutorials, later she took cosmetic classes and then her obsession with makeup was full fledged from there. Shea loves to help others out and she thought that having her own makeup services will help her help more people on a daily basis, this is how Strength Cosmetics was born. Shea found that there wasn't a cosmetic brand that gave parts of profits to the community, so she wanted to commit to helping those in need for every product sold. Every service purchased allows us to give away products with makeup classes for survivors. When Shea was starting her healing process she found that she became more confident internally when she was more confident on her outward appearance. It is a part of Strength Cosmetic's mission to help spread the confidence by educating survivors on proper makeup application, all free to survivors.
