I decided to start my cosmetology journey at 17not knowing a single thing about the beauty industry, and also that college wasn't for me. My decision to attend Paul Mitchell the School San Diego was the right one and I had such a fun experience,learning so much from not only my amazing teachers but my peers as well.

Not long after graduating I had a friend mention her sister needed a lash model for her job, and in the unusual way life makes things come together that was my intro to eyelash extensions.

I acknowledge how rare it is to be able to do something you love everyday for work and I will forever be grateful this is the route I chose 🖤⚡️

I was listening to a podcast the other day and one of the lash techs mentioned how if you think lashing is easy you have another thing coming to you and it's so TRUE.

On the daily i'm fighting against my own shaky hands, unruly lashes, random distractions & frustration. It's like my brain is telling my hands to do something but it won't.

When I first learned how to lash I would sit hunched over like a shrimp practicing under a makeup light for hours willing my muscle memory to finally kick in.

I think about how much I've grown in my last 4 years as a lash tech and am curious to see where my next 4 go 💭

As many of you know, 2 years ago I packed up my life from San Diego and moved across the country to North Carolina because, why not? Although im a certified yapper, its so scary to put yourself out there to make friends.

Bri and I met because I posted on a Facebook group I wanted to go out but didn't have anyone to go with, and she was the only one to respond. We've been friends ever since. I'm so grateful to have met such a funny, bold, & caring person 💖

Do yourself a favor and book that appointment! Too many times we make up excuses as to why we don't "deserve" doing something nice for ourselves.

Life has been reminding me lately to slow down, and smell the roses (literally because of all the Blümhaus flowers.) So, even if it isn't lashes, please do something nice for yourself today!

The hardest part of my job is always PICTURES. I'm not even kidding I get so focused/excited that I get started right away & forget to take a before OR I'll be driving home and remember I never took an after 😩

The second hardest part of my job is typing these captions since I never know what to say!! Social media truly is a beast which I am still trying to tame.

Life has been loving to remind me lately to slow down and smell the flowers, or in this case take the freaking picture!!
