Naturalis is changing.

Not because we’re walking away from who we are, but because I think we’re finally becoming who we were supposed to be.

This started in a place I never expected: a college literature assignment and a few words from Ralph Waldo Emerson that made me stop and think about prayer, healing, wellness, and what it really means to help another person.

And it forced me to ask a hard question:

What kind of company do I actually want Naturalis to be?

I don’t want to build a business that sells people miracles.

I don’t want someone who is hurting, scared, sick, exhausted, or desperate to believe the answer to everything they’re facing is sitting inside a bottle on our shelf.

I want Naturalis to be something more.

A place where education matters more than making a sale.

A place where traditional herbal knowledge and modern science can exist in the same conversation.

A place where we can say, “I don’t know.”

A place where we will tell you when something we sell ISN’T right for you.

A place where you never have to believe like us, look like us, live like us, or agree with us to be treated with kindness.

And a place where people always come before products.

The products aren’t going anywhere. The herbs aren’t going anywhere. The sourdough isn’t going anywhere.

But our purpose is getting bigger.

I wrote about what this means, why we’re making this shift, and what I believe the next chapter of Naturalis should look like.

It may be the most important thing I’ve written for this company.

Over the last several months, I’ve been asked the same question over and over:

“Why did you move Naturalis Herbal?”

The answer is actually pretty simple.

Our values didn’t align.

When I started Naturalis Herbal, it was never just about herbs, teas, tinctures, or sourdough. Those things are what we make, but they aren’t the reason we exist. From day one, this business has been about helping people.

Not some people.

All people.

I don’t care where you come from, what you believe, who you love, what you’ve been through, what mistakes you’ve made, or what season of life you’re in. If you reach out to us, you’re going to be treated with kindness, respect, and compassion.

That isn’t a marketing strategy. It’s who we are.

I have always believed that every person deserves to be heard. Sometimes people don’t need someone to fix everything. They just need someone willing to listen, encourage them, and help them find the next step. If herbs can help, we’ll tell you. If we think another option would serve you better, we’ll tell you that too. Our goal has never been to sell you something. Our goal is to help you.

Life is hard enough without feeling judged or unwelcome.

I know what it’s like to need someone in your corner. Because of that, I refuse to build a business where anyone feels like they don’t belong. I won’t be part of an environment that decides who is worthy of kindness or help.

At Naturalis Herbal, everyone has a seat at the table.
