“Maybe I should go blonde….
Maybe I should get extensions…”

Literally my thought process everytime I do .anne hair. Lol.

We added 24 inches of hand tied extensions to her hair.

Hand tied extensions need to be moved up every 6-8 weeks. They put less tension on the hair and scalp than other extensions. They can be brushed over, shampooed and curled.
Book a consultation to see if Hand Tied Extensions are for you!

Fall is coming and it’s my favorite!

Not for the leaves and cold weather 👎
I’m here for the all the fall hair color!
This beautiful client of mine loves an ashy blonde so we toned everything down and stretched that root. I’m loving this color on her!

Come to Tame where you can “fall” in some color! (Get it get it??)

I like to ask my clients how they wear their hair everyday before I start their color. Why?
For instance, take this client. When she wears her hair straight, it will look like the second picture because a lot of the contrast is INSIDE the hair.
If you want to see more dimension (even in your blonde) curl your hair!

This is also why 9 out of 10 times you’ll see a stylist curl the hair. We wanna show the dimension!

Tame Babe

Why would you get extensions?
Maybe you want it for length or maybe you want it for thickness.
Maybe like this TameBabe, you would love to be bright blonde but your hair doesn’t like lightner. Extensions give her the length, thickness AND color she wanted.

Are extensions for you? Come in for a consultation and we can talk about it!

We’re going into fall and my balayage clients are coming back to refresh their color! This TameBabe wanted pops of brightness while maintaining a brunette look. Maybe a little Honey Almondmilk Cold Brew?

What’s a TameBabe?

At Tame Salon, you’ll see us hashtag it. You’ll hear us say it a million times in the salon. You’ll see us post our . But what IS a TameBabe?

Is it just a client of ours? Something to make our clients feel good?

At Tame Salon, a TameBabe is a go getter. She’s a woman who knows what she wants and she goes for it. A person who sets her own trends and is who she wants to be. Or at least trying to get there. Lol. She is always a work in progress because she’s going to be her best self. A queen of multitasking. She is kind, generous and by all means, A BOSS.
Now, whether any of this means through your hair color or in life is up to you.

Don’t you want to be a TameBabe?

Redheads! How do you care for red hair or other pigmented hair color?

First: Turn the heat down!
Shampooing in super hot water opens the cuticle of your hair and so all that hair color slides right out. The same with your hot tools. That extra heat will sizzle the hair color right out.

Second: Use a color maintenance or a color depositing shampoo. Cheap/drugstore brands and even some professional brands have a ton of bad sulfates in the shampoo. Those “bad” sulfates are clarifying the color right out your hair. Using a gentler and color safe shampoo will help your color last longer.
Third: Olaplex your hair regularly! Dry brittle and damaged hair won’t hold on to hair color because the foundation of your hair has disappeared. Using Olaplex regularly builds those bonds back up and gives your hair color a foundation to hold to.

Lets talk !

I know, I know. It’s summer! It’s blonde season!

But our brunettes are coming in and getting some brightening too. Here’s the thing. Even if that balayage is a darker color (like the client pictured) it’s lightened hair. No, it isn’t blonde but the cuticle has been opened and it can be damaged if you aren’t taking care of it properly. That’s why our customized Tame Babe Color Care Card is so important to follow, even to our darker brunette . No you won’t need purple shampoo to keep it from getting yellow, but you still need a wet brush and other ways to take care of that prelightened hair.
At Tame, we specialize in color. So in other words, we got you.
