Platinum Cutz Barber Shop

One of my earliest memories as a kid was going to an old timey barber shop, and just being treated to a professional but manly barber experience. I saw a straight razor beard cut for the first time. The fellas were talking about politics, cracking jokes, and the atmosphere was unmistakable. The scent was deafening in it's attempt to create the memory.

I read a recommendation for men to go back to the Barber Shop experience and creating that atmosphere on purpose in their lives in "The Art of Manliness: Classic Skills and Manners for the Modern Man by Brett & Kate McKay. It made me smile.
