Breaking News! The rumors are true.. I’m officially a mommy! I had planned on announcing my pregnancy in the near future, but got thrown quite the curveball! My little Raelynn Jade came just in time for Christmas on 12/20 and has been keeping me on my toes every waking minute, so updating on here has definitely been on the back burner, but it’s finally time to come out from under the rock where I’ve been living. My little girl is in the NICU at UF Shands hospital where she has the world’s best babysitters, but unfortunately she won’t be coming home until at least her due date at the end of March. It’s been a lot of chaos to say the least, having had a 26 weeker. I can’t wait to bring my little girl home!!

Above all else, I want to give the biggest shout out to my bestest best friend in this entire universe, Christina Parkes for literally glueing me back together piece by piece as my heart’s been shattered, more times than I can count.. I love you sister.❤️I truly don’t know what I’d do without you. You’re my rock and voice of reason when nothing makes sense. I truly believe God has put you in my path for a reason.. no friendships like this happen by accident. He knew I’d need you.

There’s so many angels that have stepped up and stretched a helping hand to me in more ways than I even have the time to list out on here.. there really are some amazing people in this world, and I’m so grateful to every one of you I’ve encountered during this journey. From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU to anyone who’s sent prayers and added my daughter and I to prayer lists at your churches; donated clothes, food, gift cards, baby supplies, and monetary gifts; and even the simple check-ins and hugs in passing that I so badly need in this dark chapter. I never knew how badly I needed the support and love y’all have sent my way.

There’s something ✨magical✨about that second blonding session with a client. Ever wonder what we look for on your return visit or maintenance appointment? My goal as your stylist is always to maximize the value of your time, investment, and experience while in my chair and in between sessions. There’s many things to look for but these are a few of the most important:

•CONDITION: How was the integrity of the hair affected by the existing color? Are there any dry areas or breakage? How well are you taking care of it at home?

•TONE: How well did the color hold? Is there any fading or inconsistency? Did you absolutely love the gloss we did or does it need adjusted a bit?

•PLACEMENT: How smoothly did the hair grow out with the current color placement? Is there a soft blend or a harsh line from the regrowth?

With sessions months apart, your hair is obviously going to need some maintenance because spoiler alert- no haircolor lasts forever without needing touched up, BUT I intend to do everything in my power to make sure you still love your hair when you sit back in my chair for your next visit. ❤️
