jackie came in conflicted on what exactly she was wanting. she wanted to keep her blonde, even go a little lighter but knew that that wasn’t the best option for her. she had breakage around her face & throughout her mowhawk section, and was wanting to focus on her hairs health. going completely dark was something she thought of, but she knew she wasn’t ready to take the plunge (don’t blame her). so… we met in the middle! we added lowlights throughout but didn’t pull them through her ends, gently touched up the blonde around her face, and threw 2 babylights in on either side of her part, then did a global gloss using redken shades 9V + 9GI. we were both thrilled with the result! give her a nice lil cut to get rid of some of the damage, and she’s ready to go!

samantha came in today wanting to darken up her overall color & cover up previous highlights, but still have some dimension. so we did just that! we used kenra demi, 7NB + 5NB and the result was perrrrrfect.

she is so sweet & i loved her positive, upbeat attitude. turns out, we are basically neighbors so i see lots of girl nights in our future. 🤣

jennifer was a new client that came in for a haircut. long story short… she ended up hanging with me for an additional hour because we had THAT much fun. she was so damn funny & so fun to be around, not to mention so easy to get along with!

we did a fun, textured haircut to add to her sass! 💁🏼‍♀️

signs your hairstylist cares 🌟

* they prioritize your hair health! trust me... having the brightest blonde humanly possible, after box dying your hair black for 72 years is not worth the chemical mullet you will involuntarily receive.

* they will say no if something isn't right for your hair. example: going from blonde, to brown, to blonde to red, to brown back to blonde all within a business week. take it from me. been there done that. it's not worth the damage.

* they ask about your routine - not just questions about your inspo pic. your routine is just as, if not more important, than the end result you're wanting. if you show a picture of bright red hair, but your stylist doesn't ask what shampoo you use (and you secretly use Dawn), that just ain't gonna work. that red will turn pink, and you will not be happy.

* setting expectations before the appointment. this is a personal fav. before my hands get into your hair... we are having a deep deep consultation. i am going to make sure we are on the same page from the GIT GO . i want you to know what i feel i can confidently accomplish during our visit, and if i'm able to achieve more... hell yeah. under promise, over deliver > over promise, under deliver.

7.5 weeks of growth. almost two months! this growth is literally insane. excuuuuuse me while i pick my jaw up off of the floor. did i mention i’m 5 months postpartum, too? 🤯

all i have used is redken grow full system. it’s a freakin game changer.

loren is one of my OG’s. i was doing her hair wayyyy back before we were both married & had babies. crazy how time flies! we picked right up where we left off & had the best time.
