I’ve been thinking about how many talented PMU artists are quietly struggling.

Not because their work isn’t good…
But because no one ever taught them how to actually get clients.

This industry puts so much focus on technique—perfect strokes, perfect saturation, perfect healing. And don’t get me wrong, that matters. But what happens after you finish your training?

You go home.
You start posting.
You wait.
And then… nothing.
No bookings. No messages. No real direction.

I remember well before I got into the industry and I was helping build a surgical practice in NYC, I would call cold call every dentist within 10 blocks just to get a sit down meeting with the Surgeon to help build a referral base. S**t we were schlepping around with Crumbs Cupcake (IYKYK) and gifts for their staff. Old school marketing but those things work. 

Now we have social media, which is a wonderful way to get the reach, but sometimes it feels like we’re throwing spaghetti at the wall and just seeing what sticks. That quiet frustration of watching other artists grow while you’re sitting there refreshing your page…
Checking your likes.
Hoping for a message.
Wondering what you’re doing wrong.

I see it all the time—artists second guessing themselves, lowering their prices, thinking they need another training… when really, they just need a system to get in front of the right people and start conversations.

Because the truth is—posting isn’t a strategy.
And hoping people will magically find you isn’t a plan.

What changed everything for me wasn’t just getting better at my craft.
It was learning how to connect with people, how to start conversations, how to guide someone from “just looking” to actually booking. That’s the part no one talks about enough.

And it’s the difference between:
being talented… and being fully booked.
