Perception drift is something we don’t talk about enough in aesthetics.

When you see your face every day, small changes become your new normal. What once felt like a noticeable improvement can start to feel like “not enough,” even when you still look fantastic.

This is one reason why I take photos at every visit and why treatment plans should never be based solely on what you think you see in the mirror that day. Good aesthetic medicine isn’t about chasing more treatment!! It’s about stepping back, looking objectively at the whole picture, and making thoughtful decisions that support long-term facial harmony.

Sometimes the best treatment recommendation is moving forward. Sometimes it’s maintaining.
