Here's a story from January, when the treatment room was still in its early stages of developing its treatments and service offerings.

One guest returned on consecutive weekends after experiencing the peace that sound healing brought them. They shared that the constant news cycle had made it difficult to sleep, but during their sessions they felt calmer, loved, and cared for.

Every story reminds me why I do this work.

The Story of the Healing Herbs

One of the most beautiful stories about Airmid is her connection to healing herbs.

In Irish mythology, after her father, Dian Cécht, slew her brother Miach, Airmid wept over his grave. Watered by her tears, 365 healing herbs sprang from the earth, one for each of Miach's joints and veins. Airmid carefully gathered every herb, arranging them according to their healing properties so their wisdom could be preserved.

But the story doesn't end there.

Consumed by jealousy once again, their father scattered the herbs, leaving them mixed together. The legend tells us that because of this, no one person would ever possess complete knowledge of every healing herb. Only Airmid remembers them all.

I have always found this story both humbling and inspiring.

Three years ago, I began studying herbal medicine at the Boston School of Herbal Studies, completing both the First and Second Level Herbal Apprenticeship programs. Along the way, I've built an apothecary of handcrafted tinctures, flower essences, and botanicals that I use to support holistic well-being.

The more I learned, the more I appreciated the wisdom within Airmid's story. Herbalism is not simply about plants, it is about continually learning, observing, and respecting the gifts of nature.

Choosing the name Airmid Vibrations was far more than selecting a business name. It was a way to honour my Irish ancestry while bringing together two lifelong passions: the healing wisdom of herbs and the restorative power of vibration.

Every herb has a purpose.

Every person has their own path to healing.

And perhaps the greatest lesson Airmid teaches us is that healing is a journey of curiosity, humility, and lifelong learning.

More Than Sound. It's an Experience.

The singing bowls used in the Airmid Vibrations treatment room were handcrafted by skilled artisans in Kathmandu, Nepal.

I personally selected each bowl because of its unique resonance. Every bowl has its own voice, vibration, and purpose.

For centuries, artisans have crafted traditional Himalayan singing bowls using an alloy of seven metals, believing that their vibrations could help restore harmony to the body, mind, and spirit. Today, many people continue to experience sound healing as a deeply calming and restorative practice.

When Airmid Vibrations opened, I wanted our community to experience this remarkable modality firsthand, so we offered complimentary 10-minute sound healing sessions.

The response has been overwhelming.

✨ Nearly every guest described leaving with a greater sense of peace, relaxation, and mental clarity.

One guest shared that she had been living with chronic knee discomfort for nearly 20 years. During her visit, she mentioned the pain after her sound healing session. I selected one of the bowls whose frequencies I often incorporate into sessions focused on areas of physical discomfort.

After the session, she told me her knee felt better. Even more meaningful, she later shared that the discomfort had not returned.

Every person's experience with sound healing is unique, and no specific outcome can ever be guaranteed. But moments like these remind me why I was called to bring these beautiful instruments from Nepal to Gardner.

Sometimes healing begins with simply allowing ourselves to become still... and listening.
