I had Kyler on January 16th. We are doing well and thankful he’s here safely.
I am working on recovering so I can get back behind the chair in April!

TO END 2024: PLEASE READ ⭐️

To be honest, life is hard. Mom’ing is hard. Mom’ing and working is hard. Money is hard (for everyone, I know!). Being a hairstylist is hard (especially physically). But in all honesty, the hardest part for me is writing this post. I am dealing with some pretty serious low back/hip issues and have to do something about it. And the biggest/hardest thing I have to do, is stop doing hair behind the chair for now.

There are so many things I wish I could say on here to express the gratitude I have for you all. My clients, my friends, my family. The support you all have shown me carried me through the hardest days. You’ve given me advice, love, laughter, hugs, gifts, encouragement, hope, joy, connection, and happiness. Putting a pause on this part of who I am is harder than I thought it would be. But the Lord has graciously lead me to this decision through lots of tears and long conversation with Him.

I don’t know what the future holds, if I’ll find myself behind the chair again one day. But, what I do know, is that in order to be the best Mom I can be, I have to prioritize my physical and mental health. And for now, that means laying down my shears.

Hear my heart when I say this. Each of you have played a key part in helping me become the hairstylist, women, and mom that I am, and I pray that you know and feel how loved you are by me, but more importantly, Jesus!

My last day at Haughty will be January 2nd!

This client came in for a haircut yesterday, and I COULD NOT handle how beautifully her balayage has grown out!
It has legit been over a year since i balayaged it and it still looks like this😍🙌🏼
I’m always here for long term, low maintenance, always pretty hair color options!

I had the honor of coloring Miss Madeline’s hair this week!
Miss Madeline(as Estes calls her!) is the sweet young lady who makes it possible for me to be back at work!
She watches my kids while I am at the salon and she is beyond incredible.
I am blessed to know her and my kids just adore her!
Madeline, God knew my family needed you in our lives! We love you!

Today was literally BONKERS schedule wise,
but also INCREDIBLY rewarding!
If you sat in my chair today, thank you. I left work with my cup full to the brim and my heart rested!
Thank you for playing a part in a much needed day of genuine connection, laughter, randomly singing (you know who you are), and hugs!

I had to put all four versions of the same photo because this hair is just GIVING!
I think that’s what the cool kids say?
Anyways, I am thankful the Lord gifted me with creativity and lead me to a career where I can use it all the time!
Also a billion times thankful for the conversations I had and time I spent with today.
