**Stand With Me**
To my friends, my family, and my spiritual community.
I am a CPTSD advocate, survivor, and founder of a nonprofit dedicated to bringing ther**eutic healing to other survivors of complex trauma. My mission is specific: spa and equine therapy designed by someone who knows this pain intimately.
**Why this work matters.**
Trauma fractures you—physically and spiritually. Survivors of abuse and complex PTSD often experience dissociation: they're disconnected from their bodies, unable to feel safe in their own skin. This is a survival mechanism. It protected you when you couldn't escape. But it also leaves you fractured.
Psychologists specializing in trauma recovery consistently recommend ther**eutic spa services because they work on a fundamental principle: *reconnection*. When a trained spa therapist provides massage, hydrotherapy, skin therapy, and somatic care in a safe, consensual environment, survivors can gradually reclaim their bodies as their own. They learn that touch can be safe. That their body is not an enemy. That they deserve to be treated with dignity. They are taught, maybe for the first time in their lives, that self respect and self care are their birth right, not luxuries but neccessities.
The equine component operates similarly—horses are mirrors for emotional states. Working with them teaches presence, trust, and non-verbal communication without the threat of judgment or betrayal. Both modalities accomplish the same essential work: they bring survivors back into their bodies.
But there's a second piece, equally critical: self-respect. Trauma - especially sexual trauma - teaches survivors that they don't deserve care and respect. That their needs don't matter. By participating in consistent, intentional self-care through ther**eutic spa services, survivors begin to rebuild the belief that they are worth tending to. That their healing matters. That they deserve gentleness.
This is where the work deepens from crisis response into genuine recovery.
Every contribution goes to:
- Administrative work and fees we need to address immediately
- Keeping our workspace secure
- Continuing the mission of bringing healing to other survivors of complex trauma through spa and equine therapy
I need my community to stand with me so I can keep standing for others.
Every contribution, large or small, matters.

Bystander effect (or diffusion of responsibility) on a societal scale-
It's when everyone sees the problem—agrees it's real, complains about it loudly—but assumes "someone else" (government, experts, the next guy, "they") will handle it. No one steps up because responsibility feels diluted across the crowd. Classic examples: a public emergency where dozens watch but nobody calls 911 or intervenes, scaled up to policy failures, cultural decay, infrastructure collapse, or economic messes that drag on for years while polls show near-universal recognition that "something's fu**ed."
It's not about naming one person or one entity, i.e. Trump, Israel, Ishmael, America, Russia, the Ayatollah, Rome, The Arabs, China, The WEF, The UN, Blackrock etc. They are all operating in the same cyclical system of slavery, r**e, and usury. And we all know - something is fu**ed.
We don't even have full access to the truth anyways. But one thing is clear. The old system is fu**ed. Mother earth, children and innocence have been compromised as they have been used and fed through the old system.
The old system is going to die but the questions remain; Which system will take its place? Or will there be a parallel system that honors human life on earth and decentralizes what has become corrupt?
Related terms that capture the frustration better in political/cultural contexts:
Tragedy of the commons: Everyone recognizes the shared resource (budget, environment, social trust, rule of law) is being depleted, but individuals/groups keep exploiting it because the personal incentive to stop is weak and the cost of fixing it falls on "everyone."
Collective action problem: Rational self-interest + coordination failure. Fixing it requires sacrifice, organization, or enforcement that no single person or small group wants to bear first.
Learned helplessness (at scale): After repeated failed attempts or elite gaslighting, people internalize "nothing I do matters" and disengage, even as the problem worsens.
“Akrasia" (knowing the right action but failing to do it) or "akratic society."
Moral hazard or perverse incentives: Systems reward inaction or short-term signaling (outrage, voting, petitions) over actual costly fixes.
Apocalypse fatigue / problem exhaustion: Modern variant—too many overlapping crises, media amplification, so paralysis sets in.
In practice, this is why "the masses recognize it" rarely translates to change without a catalyzing minority that bears disproportionate costs/risks: entrepreneurs, activists, reformers, or crises that force coordination.
Democracies amplify it via voting (expressive vs. instrumental action), bureaucracies (no skin in the game), and social media (slacktivism).
What we know as "democracy" is not authentic. Sovereignty is everything. The democracy we know says, "Wear this Pride jersey or we will cancel your ball game." My soul is not someone else's version of democracy. Neither is yours.
History shows fixes often come from disruption—technological, economic, or painful shocks—not mass consensus alone.
The cynical take: Sometimes the "problem" is misdiagnosed, or the proposed fixes are worse (unintended consequences). But when it's real and obvious? Yeah, it's usually diffusion of responsibility + free-rider incentives.
The antidote starts with clear accountability, skin in the game, and individuals acting anyway instead of waiting for the herd. Easier said than done.
Christ made religion irrelevant. He was a carpenter who didn’t build one physical church, yet he preached that the kingdom is within, and that YOU ARE THE TEMPLE. And here we are with bad policy, wrapped in bad politics, wrapped in bad religion.
Yet the government and powers that be continued on the same path that they’ve been on for thousands of years. Killing in the name of; as usual. For what? A fu***ng building? A strip of land?
I say we all take what Christ made irrelevant and MAKE IT IRRELEVANT AGAIN! He called the religious politicians in his day, "White washed tombs filled with dead mens bones." Reminds me of the county commissioners claiming eminent domain on ranch land! Or blowing up innocent civilians so you can claim their land and build your bloody building.
We are individually responsible for life on this earth. There is no diffusion of responsibility. It is on you and me.
Be the brave one who’s unafraid the break the cycle and start re-organizing what's been corrupted.
