The City of Garland has become aware of a potential fish kill in the Winters Park area of Spring Creek near N. Garland Avenue and Naaman Forest Boulevard. We are currently investigating and will provide additional information as it becomes available. The City's Environmental Compliance Department tested the water and has not identified any potential harmful industrial waste chemicals in the water. The fish kill could be related to the heat or to a water main break in the area (which may have caused trace amounts of chlorine to enter the creek).
