Imagine for a min if I can take a kid who is screaming, moving, mad, slapping at my hands, whipping back and forth while parents try their best to help hold on harder parts but yet he gets up spit fire mad but looks like he set through that haircut so still. The haircut is perfect 👌.. yeahhhhh that.. thats what i do. Thats what its about. That haircut looking good every time no matter what. I come to do a job. I'm going to do that job. Its not just me though. Kudos to the parents. Its just as hard on them as it is for their kid. Its trusting the process. Its trusting me. Its working together. Let me reintroduce myself. I'm Dianna. I have been a hairstylist for 20 years now. Started out full service salon. 10 years in, I needed something new. I found myself working with kids. At first I had no clue what I was walking into. But little did i know just how good I'd be at it. As someone who has sensory issues and anxiety myself, who also raised a kid with same issues i have come to recognize what it takes to work with kids with these needs. Its a passion to work with kids. Its also a privilege. I take great pride in my work. I'm a firm believer that just because kids have special needs or sensory it should not stop them from having the same haircut that someone sitting still should have. That with time, patience, communication, and the willingness to work through it, that getting past the hard part is possible. Watching my kids go from screaming no the min I walk through the door the wanting to sit in the big chair is a absolute joy. This is my passion. This is what i do. I have learned so much from doing what I do that I decided to start my own business. And here i am almost 5 years in.If you have made it this far I appreciate your time. It is about to be summer! Save The Hair!
Dollar tree: 1 spray bottle 1 conditioner (doesn't matter what kind)
Mix 75 percent conditioner with 25 percent water. Spray in dry hair until wet. Pull back in braid or bun. Repeat every 2 hrs at the pool. Save The Hair from turning green or yellow or hay feeling from chlorine in pool. Using the bought pre-made ones leaves a by product in the hair that reacts with the chlorine in the pool sometimes making the hair worse. So please make your own and Save The Hair this summer. This goes for everyone. Regardless of hair color. Its all the same. Chlorine really wrecks havic on the hair. Thank me later. Happy swimming. And Happy Summer!
