A few months ago, I shared that some changes were coming to Empowered’s medical weight management program. With my time in the office changing, I’m finally ready to put those changes into place. 💕

The goal was simple: make the program more flexible, more affordable long-term, and actually improve the way I’m able to care for you — without requiring an office visit every month.

Here’s what’s changing:

✨ More flexibility with your pharmacy.
You’re no longer limited to one medication source. Choose from Empowered’s available member medication pricing, or have me send your prescription to the pharmacy of your choice.

✨ Better pricing for maintenance.
For those who have reached their goals and don’t need traditional month-to-month management, new maintenance bundles offer better pricing and more flexibility.

✨ A better check-in process.
Instead of a quick “How’s it going?” each month, the new check-in form walks through your progress, side effects, current dose, goals and other important information before I review your treatment plan. It gives me a much better picture of how you’re actually doing and helps me make more thoughtful decisions about your care.

✨ The same provider behind your care.
I’m still personally reviewing your check-ins, determining eligibility, managing your treatment and sending your prescriptions — we’re just doing it in a way that works better outside of the traditional office setting.

And Empowered isn’t disappearing completely. 💕
Telemedicine visits will also remain available for acute concerns and medication refills, allowing me to continue caring for you when you need it without requiring an in-office visit.

This is exactly what I hoped Empowered could become during this season: less time tied to the office without completely stepping away from the people I’ve had the privilege of caring for.
