Licensees, we want to warn you of a new scam that might try to target your personal information. The scammers send you a letter that appears to be from IDFPR, stating your license has been suspended. You are then asked to call a phone number included in the letter.

IDFPR uses a deliberate enforcement process and does not suspend licenses just by sending a letter. If you receive a letter like this, do not call the phone number.

FYI: Before you make an appointment for a massage in the state of Illinois you should make sure that the massage therapist is a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT).
