Hi besties!
I know our facebook is inactive, but Wildflower Wax Studio is still up and running and taking new clients! I get questions weekly about the state of the business, since we haven’t posted in so long.
Kennadi and I have been kept so busy with all of you, and our personal lives, which doesn’t leave much time for making content. I’m going to try to be better about it but I’m making no promises.
Ive been out of the studio a little more than usual, as I’m taking some time to travel. Those of you that know me, know that all I’ve ever wanted to do is see the world. Getting the opportunity to do so over the past year has been incredible and I owe it all to the clients that keep this business running.
I’ll be out of the salon from September 28th-October 28th! I’ve been pre booking everyone around these dates but if you need a wax before I leave, start taking a look at the schedule. Kennadi will be here while I’m gone to take care of yall as well.
As always, 24/7 online booking is available for your convenience.
Here are some pics of my travels since I have no waxing content for yall 😭🩷✨
Xoxo
Emily

Hi Wildflower Baddies! I would like to reintroduce myself to you all! 🤝🤩

My name is Kennadi and I work for Emily but she hates it when I call her boss so she calls me her right hand (you can refer to me as Emily’s right hand so she doesn’t feel shy.)
I began my career as Esthetician almost 6 years ago initially starting my career specializing in facials but after being a friend and client of Emily’s for 5 years she basically brainwashed me to add waxing to my repertoire by working for her. THANK GOD SHE DID! She saw a vision I could not see! Waxing has provided me a confidence in myself I did not know possible not to mention I
I can’t explain how satisfying it is to see all those little roots on the strips. 🤌🏻😮‍💨

Did I mention Emily gave me the opportunity to expand our service menu? We now offer brow lamination, lash lifts and skin lightening services! 💡🍑🧿

Fun Facts:
🌸 I love traveling! I’ve traveled to 5 different countries and plan to see many more ✈️
🌸Before I became an Esthetician I used to work in a hair salon/boutique! You can say I’ve always loved the beauty industry 🧖‍♀️
🌸 I’m from Round Rock, Texas. Born and raised 💃🏼
🌸 I love thrifting and all things old! If a thrift store smells like dusty moth balls, has no sense of organization and has an older person working the register I feel ECSTATIC! 🏚️
🌸 My current favorite color is Kelly green but that’s subject to change until I find my new favorite color 🪲

Hiii❤️‍🔥 it’s been over a year since I’ve done an introduction. So much has changed since last year, so let’s do another one!
I know I don’t post much, but I promise we are alive and well, and busier than ever! Also, our insta story is where the real party is at😛 anywaysss…

My name is Emily and I’m the owner and founder of Wildflower Wax Studio! I began my career six years ago and have specialized in waxing since the very beginning.
I always get asked how and why I picked waxing and the simple answer is waxing chose me. No one goes to school saying they want to wax vaginas, but I took a job at a chain waxing studio right out of school and never looked back. Being a waxer and business owner has truly brought out a confidence and joy that I never knew I could have. If you want to know more of the boring stuff, feel free to read my bio on our website or my article on Voyage Austin!

Fun Facts:
🍄 Before I was a waxer I was a gymnastics coach. My favorite age group to teach was 18 months - 4 years!
🍄 I grew up locally in Round Rock! I would love to live abroad one day.
🍄 I love to cook and bake, Thanksgiving is my Olympics.
🍄 I have two cute rescue pups, Bailey and Lilo.
🍄 I have tons of tattoos and don’t plan on stopping anytime soon. All the flowers on my arm are state and national flowers of places I’ve been! So far I have 13, and no, I have no idea
what I’m going to do when I run out of room on my arm.

Kennadi’s intro will be posted soon. K, bye, love ya 😘👹🧜🏻‍♀️❤️‍🔥

So your waxer keeps telling you to exfoliate… but what does that mean and how do you do it? Let me break it down for you.

“Exfoliate” simply means to remove the dead skin cells from the surface of the skin. When dead skin cells are sitting on the skin, hair has a hard time pushing through them and can become ingrown. Exfoliation is your key to an easy grow out and a super smooth wax! You should exfoliate about 3 days/week. Over-exfoliation will dry out the skin and cause irritation.

So what should you use?
There’s plenty of options on the market but these are the two I recommend over all others:
1) Dry Brushing! Dry brushing works by using ultra fine bristles to slough off dead skin cells. Meant to be used dry before your shower, brush your skin in circular motions for at least 30 seconds, then hop in the shower and wash all those dead skin cells off! Warm, wet spaces like loofahs are breeding grounds for bacteria. Since your brush is used dry, it doesn’t have the opportunity to grow bacteria like a loofah does. Dry brushing is also a method of exfoliation that doesn’t require products that may have irritating fragrances or ingredients.

2)Deck Scrub! For those who prefer to exfoliate in the shower, scrubs are a great option. Deck scrub is a pumice scrub specifically formulated for waxed skin. Free of fragrance and hair follicle clogging ingredients, it’s a safe bet for those with sensitive or problem prone skin.

Any other questions about exfoliating? Let me know! ✨🩵

New logo checking in👋🏻
It’s been a hot minute since I posted because ive been spending all my time waxing all of you!
A little business update: In a few weeks I’m retiring Waxed by Emily and changing my business name to Wildflower Wax Studio. Waxed by Emily has been good to me but I’m ready for something new! Don’t worry - just because I’m changing my business name doesn’t mean I’m changing my business model. You can still count on great customer service and flawless waxes.
