More and more of my clients are having surgeries or are dealing with old scar tissue issues! A scar doesn’t necessarily always come from surgery, it can also be things like plantar fasciitis, frozen shoulder, dupuytren’s, even carpal tunnel. Scar tissue from Appendix or C-sections will affect not only back pain but also how the organs underneath function
The body forms scar tissue as a natural response to trauma when the skin is lacerated or punctured either by accident or purposefully i.e. surgery. Collagen being laid down during the repair process results in a thickened, fibrous mass which can impede proper circulation of blood, congests lymph flow, and can even impact on Range of Motion. Additionally, the severing of delicate nerve tissue often results in dysthesia of not only the scar but the adjacent, surrounding tissue. As the scar is fibrous and non-elastic it will have a dragging and pulling effect on bio-mechanical function of all physiological systems particularly the fascial membrane covering muscles, organs and glands. The effect of scar tissue in the physical body is just the beginning! Scar tissue has emotional and psychological effects too. Every scar represents an event that created the scar.
At the end of October, I will be attending a training for MSTR®️ - McLoughlin Scar Tissue Release. This is an innovative and effective therapeutic approach to the treatment of scar tissue. This will elevate the therapeutic impact of the bodywork I provide for my clients!
✨️✨️Tucking more goodies in to the Mary Poppins bag! ✨️✨️

My tiniest client! He came in to spread smiles around the office yesterday, and get some baby body work! 🥰
Little man was born with some oral ties that were released, but has had lots of bodywork sessions to release tension and correct holding patterns! ❤️

🍁 When the air turns crisp and dry, your skin feels it first. Shifts in temperature, humidity, and even your daily routines can leave skin dehydrated, sensitive, or dull.
Our Autumn Facials are fully customized to meet your skin where it’s at—whether that means restoring lost moisture, calming seasonal sensitivity, or refreshing your glow.
Each treatment is tailored to your skin type and concern, helping you transition smoothly into the new season with comfort and radiance ✨️

I recently added a display board in the office to highlight client reviews, and the feedback has been fantastic. This is the most recent review, added yesterday. Thank you Suzanne!
