Glamorous Faces

I took the summer off from social media not because I had nothing to share, but because I wanted to be fully present with the life I was actually living.

I needed time to slow down, protect my mental health, physical health, reconnect with myself, and be intentional with the people I love most.

Because before I’m a business owner or the woman behind the posts, I’m a mom, wife, daughter, sister, auntie, and friend. Each of those roles is a blessing, but they also require parts of me and I realized I couldn’t continue pouring into everything and everyone without taking time to refill my own cup.

Instagram is a highlight reel. What looks like success on the outside doesn’t always show the behind-the-scenes of everyday life.

Life is a juggle.

Sometimes, everything feels aligned and I’m on top of it all. Other times, I’m wondering how one person is supposed to be a present mom, wife, daughter, sister, friend, and business owner while also remembering to buy groceries, eat, do the laundry, or be productive at home. 😅

This summer, I chose my family. I chose the trips, the laughter, the long conversations, the quiet moments, and watching Jaxson experience life, through his eyes. I chose to be present instead of feeling pressured to document every moment.

And somewhere in the middle of all of that, I found pieces of myself again.

My journey hasn’t always been easy, and I’m still learning that rest doesn’t mean I’m falling behind. Stepping away doesn’t mean I’ve given up. And not being where I thought I would be by now doesn't mean I'm failing. Sometimes, the most productive thing you can do is pause, breathe, and take care of the person behind everything you’re building and celebrate the progress and the wins even the smallest of them.

I may have been quiet online, but I was living, healing, loving, and making memories with the people who mean the most to me.

And honestly?
That time was exactly what my heart needed.

I’ll always keep it real because I’m riding the same roller coaster of life, motherhood, mental health, business owner and wife as so many of you.

But I’m back now, ready for the fall season!
