❕Have you fallen for any of these skin myths? 🫢 if so, that’s okay! Here’s a little bit about why each myth is inaccurate and misleading:
1. Oily skin DOES need moisturizer! In fact, skipping moisturizer can make your skin even more oily due to it trying to compensate for lack of hydration.

2. Daily SPF is essential, even on snowy, rainy, or overcast days. Consistent application of SPF is one of the most effective ways to prevent skin cancer and skin aging - look for something that says broad spectrum with at least a 30 protection factor!

3. Gentle exfoliation encourages cellular turnover which reveals a brighter, smoother, more even complexion. For sensitive skin types, it can help reduce flakiness flakiness and help support a healthy barrier when done right (2-3x a week)! Avoid anything with harsh scrubbies and seek something with gentler exfoliation!

4. Unfortunately, your pores can not be shrunk or eliminated. They are a part of our skin’s anatomy and can not be closed by anything! However, you CAN minimize their appearance by using non-comedogenic products and keeping your skin clean and decongested, encouraging healthy skin turnover!

When using proper technique, pressure, and angles, dermaplaning allows you to achieve optimal results you simply can’t get with a ti**le razor!

Ti**le Razors are very much more surface-level, and don’t remove dead skin like your skin needs and can get from professional dermaplaning! However, when used incorrectly, they can lead to irritation, sensitivities, breakouts, and even possibly cuts/nicks on the skin, leading to more problems than you went in with!
