This is one of the hardest announcements I’ve ever had to make.

After much prayer, reflection, and soul-searching, I’ve decided to begin a new chapter in my life by accepting an opportunity to work in the funeral profession. While this means I’ll be stepping back from being behind the chair, it doesn’t erase the incredible journey we’ve shared together.

For years, my salon has been so much more than a place to do hair. It’s been a place of laughter, tears, celebrations, life updates, and genuine friendships. Many of you have trusted me through some of life’s biggest moments, and that trust is something I will never take for granted.

This new path allows me to serve families in a completely different way—helping them through some of the most difficult moments they’ll ever face with compassion, dignity, and care. It’s a calling that has been placed on my heart, and while it’s bittersweet to step away from something I love, I’m excited to embrace this new purpose.

To every client who has sat in my chair, supported my business, referred a friend, or simply believed in me—thank you. You helped make my dream possible, and I will forever be grateful for the memories we’ve created together.

Although I won’t be taking regular appointments as I once did, Gracie’s Hair Lab remains very close to my heart, and I’m excited about what the future holds. This isn’t goodbye—it’s simply the beginning of a new season.

Gracie’s Hair Lab is looking for a licensed Associate Stylist who is passionate about creating beautiful hair and ready to grow in a supportive, education-focused environment.
This is a great opportunity for a newly licensed stylist or someone looking to gain hands-on experience while working alongside an experienced stylist. You’ll receive mentorship, assist with salon services, and gradually build your own clientele as your skills and confidence grow.

What you’ll do:
• Assist with guest services and salon operations
• Shampoo, blow-dry, apply color, and help with styling services
• Learn consultation, color formulation, and salon systems
• Deliver exceptional customer service
• Grow into taking your own clients
What I’m looking for:
• Current Texas Cosmetology License
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Professional appearance and excellent communication
• Coachable, dependable, and eager to learn
• Passion for healthy hair and creating an outstanding guest experience
