The Parlour Beauty Salon and Spa

My passion for this industry started at an early age, answering the phone and sweeping up hair at my grandmothers salon. I enjoyed the interaction with people from all walks of life, but most of all I recieved so much joy watching these ladies leave the salon with a new sense of confidence and self worth that they didn't have before. When you look good, you feel good and that is the bottom line. All through school, I styled all my friends hair and it gave me such pleasure just to do something for them that made them feel better about themselves. So I always knew what I would do with my life, I would become a Hairdresser. I worked for several years in my hometown and then married an Army man and we have been on the move ever since. God also blessed us with 3 beautiful girls who keep us on our toes. I have enjoyed the experiences being an Army wife has given me. Working at different salons in different states really let me see that every salon and stylist is different but one thing is universal.....no matter how good the stylist is, it is the experience that keeps the client with you and the way they are treated, the "service" they are given. So that is what I strive to do with my clients, make them look amazing but also and more importanty make them FEEL amazing! After moving back to northern KY, I knew I wanted something else, besides just standing behind the chair. I wanted to share my knowledge with others, especially my love and committment to Joico and all their products. So In 201/ I became a Joico Artistic Advisor and now I travel the country educating other stylists on all the products of this wonderful company. The reason it is so great is because the #1 Hair Reconstructor in the industry for 13 yrs is included in EVERY product they sell. So whether coloring, perming or just styling your hair, you are repairing it at the same time. I have been trained by and worked side-by-side with some of the top platform artists in this industry. And I can honestly say I have learned more in the years I have been with Joico than in all my years doing hair. In 2019, my husband retired and we moved back to our hometown. I am now opening The Parlour Beauty Salon and Spa in the exact location that my grandmother had her salon all those years ago.
