Not to be dramatic… but the nausea can be real 😂

Nausea is one of the more common side effects people may experience with GLP-1 medications, especially when first starting or after a dose increase. These medications can slow stomach emptying and affect appetite, which is part of why you may feel fuller faster — but it can also contribute to nausea.

A few things that may help:
✨ Eat smaller meals and stop when you feel full
✨ Avoid large, heavy or high-fat meals
✨ Eat slowly
✨ Stay hydrated throughout the day
✨ Follow your prescribed dosing schedule and don’t increase your dose faster than directed

Side effects shouldn’t just be something you have to suffer through. If nausea is persistent, severe, or keeping you from eating or drinking normally, reach out to your prescribing provider so they can evaluate what’s going on and whether your treatment plan needs to be adjusted. 🤍

GLP-1 treatment should always be individualized and medically supervised.
