The difference between a good artist and a great one? Every detail counts.
If you want to stand out as a paramedical tattoo artist, the difference is in the details.
What makes our training different than most is that we’ll show you…
My own mistakes: If you can figure out what went “wrong,” you’ll also know how to do it right.
Why we build up coverage: Seamless results don’t happen over night - especially with scar tissue.
Here’s an example of what a typical first session looks like for acne scar camouflage: her skin texture has softened and her white scars are much more faded, but there’s still more that needs to be done and so I show students what and why I chose a different needle, ink consistency, etc to give her even more coverage on her recent second session.
Which needles we use: The right needle makes all the difference. You’ll learn which ones to choose so your work is precise and natural—giving clients the best possible outcome with the least amount of trauma.
How to read the skin: I teach students what to look for as they’re tattooing so that they accurately know if they’re going deep enough.
How we color match: Perfect color matching isn’t luck. I teach you how to match skin tones seamlessly, so scars and pigmentation blend right in, leaving your clients thrilled with the results.
Every move matters because it’s what separates a good result from an extraordinary one and it often begins with sharing the “why” behind what we do - not just the “what.”

The industry is shifting—more artists are gravitating toward ar**la work.
But as with any field, there are those who do it for the right reasons, and those who simply want to add another accolade.
If you’re considering getting into this industry, ask yourself:
If no one knew you offered this, would you still be called to do it? And if the answer is yes, isn’t it then worth the time to learn the skills to be able to do it right?
6 years of working on compromised skin, I can tell you - ar**la work is still, by far, the most difficult canvas to work on and I believe it’s an advanced skill best suited for advanced artists.
Ar**la artistry isn’t about feeding your ego or collecting feel-good moments. Yes, there’s deep satisfaction in this work, but it’s not about us—it’s about them.
Our clients deserve artists who are willing to invest in the time to get proper training, experience and who show up, focused and dedicated, for each session.

The moment you realize you’ll never have to deal with people staring at your scar…👀😮💨
Here are his one session, healed results of skin camouflage. This is officially his first tattoo ever (that actually doesn’t look like a tattoo 😉).

New episode alert, except I’m being interviewed vs. doing the interviewing on the Quianna Marie’s weekly podcast.
I loved connecting with a fellow Arizona entrepreneur and sharing how breaking the rules has always served me and why I hate hustle culture.
It was great to sit down and hear a more intimate side of how I’ve built StudioConceal and provide a safe space for our clients.
I’m super proud of this episode and know you’ll love it too!

I wanted to share that I have been absolutely loving the new RESTORE ink line by and for smp, especially for female density treatments.
When it comes to female hair loss, it’s usually in combination with autoimmune diseases or hormonal imbalances, which directly influence how much ink is retained so I was thrilled to see that using RESTORE definitely helped increase how much “density” my clients were retaining per session.
I also love that RESTORE uses color science to blend colors based on the client’s undertone and that it’s going against the gray scale that we’ve commonly used as an industry - and guys, I’m all for it. We’ve all seen clients heal blue over time and so I believe this is what we’ve been needing for a while.
This post is not sponsored at all, so if you’ve been curious about testing it out, it’s absolutely worth a try - and for those complaining his inks are difficult to use, that’s just a lazy excuse. It’s actually broken down pretty easy once you figure out how to use the formula.
Cheers to doing better work! 🤍

They call me a modern magician. 🪄
Every detail counts. My students know that we strategize EVERYTHING; how we enter the skin, where we enter, what needles we use, how we color match, add balance and give our clients the biggest wins.
For “T’s” first session, I focused on matching her native ar**la colors to immediately take focus off of her scarring.
2nd session we focused on adding skin camouflage ink and 3rd session, I raised one of her ar**las higher so that we could give the illusion of more balance and symmetry.
With every session, her skin and scarring improved, too. 🤯
She’s thrilled! Loves her breasts finally! And more importantly, feels normal again.
Have mommy makeover scars? Breast lift scars widen and stretch your ar**la? Send a message and I’ll share what I think would work best for you.

*Post-mastectomy ar**la restoration tattoo* for this lovely client immediately after session.
She’ll take about 6-8 weeks to heal as the redness softens, but here is where we started…
Remnants of her ar**las were left from her surgery, but given how petite her frame was and knowing she was not going to undergo another scar revision, I felt adding “ni**le tattoos” to blend with her original ar**las would either place them too low or make them too big, overshadowing the size of her frame and breasts so I did what I felt was natural, placed them where I thought they would be in real life, pre-mastectomy.
Strategizing is part of what we do as artists that doesn’t get shown in our before and afters, but are key in creating symmetry, balance and softness.
I’m excited to see how she heals but loving the process so far. ✨

Breast lift scars can alter the shape of your ar**las, leaving edges jagged and “chopped up” with a distinct white “donut scar.” It can also cause discoloration and imbalance of size and symmetry, which makes women feel less than enthusiastic about their breast augmentation. 😒
But all of that can be fixed with ar**la scar revisions. In this photo, I custom blended a color that matched her natural ar**la tones to fill in areas that were lighter and missing. One side of her breast needed more work, but with two sessions complete, she’s walking away with softer, fuller ar**las that really draw her eyes away from her scarring. Everything seems much more balanced and feminine - giving her the confidence to love and feel good about her body and surgical makeover.

We all invest in beauty treatments to feel better about ourselves, but sometimes they go wrong. This was in the case of “K” who went into a laser session to get rid of her sun spots, but ended up getting burned and permanently stamped with rectangles (from the laser machine) all down her chest.
The damage had been done and no matter what she tried - dermatology visits, peels, creams, make up, avoiding low cut tops, etc - NOTHING was able to fix her scars or make her feel good about her skin and body again until today…when we got to take her final, healed photos.
This has been a 1.5 year process with me with a total of 7 ink sessions to get her to this point. It was one of the most challenging cases I’ve worked on, but well worth the wait.
I’m thankful she trusted the process, didn’t give up and was open to me tweaking colors, needles and my approach to getting that ink to retain and look as natural as possible.
Now she can go back to feeling normal, wearing what she wants without a care or worry and that makes my heart happy.
