Some sneaky ingredients to look out for include:
1. PARABENS (Methyl, Butyl, Ethyl, Propyl)
❗️Parabens may interfere with hormone function and may lead to breast cancer, as parabens have been found in breast cancer tumours.
2. DEA (Diethanolamine), MEA (Monoethanolamine) and TEA (Triethanolamine)
❗️They can cause cancer of the liver as well as cause precancerous changes in your skin and thyroid.
3. PROPYLENE GLYCOL
❗️They pe*****te the skin so quickly and can weaken the protein and cellular structure. It has been associated with dermatitis and hives.
4. BHT (Butylated Hydroxytoluene)
❗️Some of the side effects of BHT are liver, kidney and lung problems.
5. FORMALDEHYDE
❗️A chemical that can cause joint pain, skin allergies, depression, headaches, cancer, ear infections, dizziness, chronic fatigue syndrome and more.
6. MINERAL OIL
A petroleum by-product that coats the skin like plastic, clogging its pores.
❗️This is incredibly harmful because it interferes with skin’s ability to eliminate toxins, therefore increasing likelihood of acne and other disorders.
7. ALUMINUM
Toxic metal that can have oestrogen-like effects in our systems.
❗️Disrupts the healthy functioning of the endocrine system.
8. OXYBENZONE
Found in most sunscreens sold on the market.
❗️Oxybenzone is a known endocrine disruptor and can alter thyroid function. It’s also linked to skin allergies.

Our first session doing ombré-style shading—we used a “Warm Black” which adds just enough warmth to prevent her pigment from healing too cool in the skin. We’ll see her in 4-6 weeks to touch-up any areas that may have faded to make sure she maintains her beautiful, crisp shape 🖤
