I found this old video from a bridal trial updo and had to reshare 🤍

Your wedding day doesn’t have to mean straightening your curls. There’s something so beautiful about wearing your natural texture on a day that’s supposed to feel the most like you. Curls bring so much softness, movement, and personality to bridal styles, especially in updos like this.

Curly brides — this is your sign to embrace your natural hair on your wedding day ✨

This big chop is EVERYTHING 😍
Sometimes, although we love our length, we know we thrive with a shorter cut.
Here are some common signs you are ready for a big chop:

✨ Your hair length feels hard to manage, and even though you get great results, you dread your upcoming wash day 😰
✨Your curls feel weighed down/stretched out 🙂‍↕️
✨ You feel like your curls are “swallowing” you/your face
✨ You feel like your hair makes you overheat 🌡️🥵

If you’ve been thinking of a big chop, come see us and we’d be happy to help! ✂️

Curly hair isn’t something you learn in one appointment.

That’s why at CGW, we work in two parts:

✨ Discovery & Assessment — where we understand your curls and create a shape that works with them
✨ Hands-On Refresh — where we teach you how to care for them between wash days

Because products don’t replace technique.
And real learning takes time, practice, and guidance.

If hair care still feels hard, this might be a better place to start.

Layers sound simple… but they’re not one-size-fits-all.

Two people can both get “layers” and walk out with completely different results.
Why? Because the right layers depend on your curl pattern, density, length, and how your hair naturally falls.

For some, layers create lift and movement.
For others, too many layers can cause frizz or a shape that feels off.
That’s why curly cuts aren’t about copying a photo — they’re about designing a shape that works with your hair, not against it.

The goal isn’t just layers.
The goal is balance, structure, and a shape that lets your curls do what they already want to do — just better.

If your curls still feel flat, heavy, or triangular even after getting layers, it might not be that layers don’t work for you…
It might be that they weren’t designed for your curls.

Ready for a cut that actually supports your texture?
We’d love to help you find your shape.

✨It’s interesting how something as simple as a haircut can feel so loaded for so many women.
When we talk with clients about going shorter, the fear usually isn’t the hair itself — it’s the stories attached to it.

Stories like:
• “Short hair isn’t feminine.”
• “What if people judge me?”
• “My face isn’t right for it.”
• “I’ll regret losing the length I’ve been told to value.”

But these fears aren’t really about hair… they’re about old beauty rules we’ve all absorbed without even realizing it. And every time a woman chooses a cut because it feels like her, not because it fits someone else’s idea of beauty, it challenges those rules a little more.

So we’re curious — have you ever thought about cutting your hair short? What held you back?
We’d genuinely love to hear your thoughts. Let’s talk about it.
