Hi everyone! š¤
With my pregnancy progressing and Luca getting closer and closer to making his arrival, my medical team has advised me to stop massaging until after delivery.
Over the next two weeks, Iāll be adjusting and moving some appointments around as needed to accommodate the pain and physical limitations Iām experiencing. I truly appreciate everyoneās patience, flexibility, and understanding during this time. š«¶š¼
Beginning September 11th, I will officially be out of the office for maternity leave. My plan is to return toward the end of October or beginning of November, depending on delivery and how recovery goes.
Iām so grateful for each and every one of you and for all of the support youāve shown me throughout this pregnancy. š¤ Iām looking forward to meeting this little guy and taking the time my body needs to recover, and I canāt wait to see you all again when I return! š¶š¼š©µ
Thank you so much for understanding and supporting me during this season. š¤

Healing from complex trauma isnāt just about changing your thoughtsāitās about coming home to your body.
For many survivors, the body has spent years in survival mode. Staying busy, disconnecting from emotions, people-pleasing, overachieving, or constantly staying āfineā werenāt character flaws. They were ways your nervous system learned to protect you.
Then healing begins.
And suddenlyā¦you start to feel.
Grief youāve buried.
Anger you were never allowed to express.
Fear youāve carried for years.
Loneliness. Shame. Sadness.
It can feel overwhelmingāeven terrifying. Sometimes it feels like youāre falling apart, when in reality your nervous system is beginning to believe itās finally safe enough to process what it couldnāt before.
Healing doesnāt require forcing yourself to relive every painful memory. It means slowly building the capacity to stay present with your body while reminding yourself that you are safe in this moment.
As someone who works with the body, Iāve come to appreciate how deeply our nervous system influences the healing process. There isnāt one path to healing, and what feels regulating for one person may feel overwhelming for another. Thatās okay. Healing is personal.
Some tools that can support nervous system regulation include:
š¤ Slow breathing with longer exhales than inhales
š¤ Grounding through your five senses
š¤ Gentle movement like walking, stretching, or yoga
š¤ Time in nature
š¤ Cold water on your hands or face
š¤ Journaling or creative expression
š¤ Connecting with a trusted therapist or safe support system
š¤ Prayer, Scripture, or quiet time with God if faith is part of your journey
š¤ Trauma-informed massage therapy. For some people, safe, consensual therapeutic touch can help release tension, increase body awareness, and support a sense of safety. For others, touch may feel overwhelming at firstāand thatās okay too. A trauma-informed approach always honors your pace, your choices, and your boundaries.
If youāre in this season of healing, be gentle with yourself.
Your nervous system adapted to help you survive. It isnāt brokenāit learned to protect you. Now itās learning something new: that safety, connection, and peace are possible.
Healing isnāt about becoming someone else.
Itās about becoming safe enough to be the person you were always created to be.
